Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, spotted out and about, part 4

Part 4 of a nice, unproblematic thread to discuss some of the fab outfits from the Duchess of Sussex, and some of the many great causes she (and Harry) and Archewell supports.

I think maybe the Kardashians and the Sussexes live the same area? Correct me if I'm wrong. They may just have met and become friends.

What was the event?

Oh gosh no I doubt it. Who would wear their daughter's clothes? You end up with that 1661er look !

If you’re talking about Doria and Kris - this was the This Is About Humanity Soiree which happened last year at the tail end of summer.

If you’re talking about Harry and Meghan - this was The Kinsey African American Art & History Collection.

I do occasionally or they borrow bits of mine. They are in their thirties

I think there is a difference in borrowing bits and comparing Meghan’s fashion to an HRC suit.

I don’t think it’s a compliment to Meghan, no matter how well you feel HRC does suits.

I’m a little confused why I was the one being called goady for that. Shit.

Doria looks lovely . And so natural compared to the frozen faces on either side of her.

I agree, she looks great, that colours remind me of spring. It's not a pattern I'd wear but she pulls it off

The skirting is very lovely, almost like a water colour painting effect. Not sure if the shirt shoukd of been more white bit I like the sleeves on it.

It does look familiar - reminds me of the pigeon dress too. All very floaty ☺️

The material of the skirt is quite lovely.

I’m not sure the design is very flattering on her though. Pleats can be tricky.

I don't think that shirt was designed to be tucked in. It looks like it might be a free flowing tunic with deep side slits, as there's a bit of bare flesh on show when she is sat down where the slit has risen above the waistband. Also, the the shirt looks like a creamier shade of white and doesn't match the white of the skirt, so it looks a bit mismatched. The skirt pattern is lovely, but close pleats are not flattering when you have a short torso and a wider waist. It's making her look heavy around the bottom and stomach area, when she is actually very slim. It would have been better in an A-line and with something less voluminous and short sleeved on top, picking out one of the colours in the pattern rather than trying to match the white.

Eee. I didn’t realise it was a dress.

The model can’t quite pull it off either. Which is a shame as I do like the material/print on the skirt.

And it is easy ripped too by the look of it.

Not my favourite outfit. And maybe not helped by those flats. They aren’t terribly flattering either sadly. They make feet look a lot longer than they probably are.

The outfit just seems to be a bit wrong for her.

Again, a shame because she usually does smart casual quite well.
