Okay , I'm just going to say it... where is Kate Middleton?

(or for the MN purists, Catherine) The most high profile and popular member of royal family has not been seen since Christmas. I do think it's quite strange and so many rumours from the foreign press. And before anyone starts jumping down my throat about her having hysterectomy / crohns / ad infimum / I've had both a hysterotomy and half my intestine removed and was back in work within a 8 weeks.

Keith will be returning at Easter, post transitioning. He had to wait for his beard to grow.

I can relate to this. I was presented with my DOE Silver award by the old DOE but otherwise they were barely on my radar until the big flounce & Oprah.

All the unwarranted vitriol directed at the main royals by H, M and their supporters just made me feel like defending them.

Roussette · 03/03/2024 18:06

And you're doing a sterling job of it, if I may say so

Look out for a white enveloped letter with a crest on it round about June, or failing that December 😅

ArcaneWireless · 03/03/2024 18:14

A sterling job indeed gott

Haud gaun.

I literally care more about the state of my little toenail (slightly bruised)

Please be sure to provide daily updates and a nicely staged photo of yourself looking frail and grateful to the nation. Flowers

Ach they can all scrap it out for the top position with a prime time version of Mr & Mrs.

Cone back Derek Batey- your country needs you.

They'd have to agree on the day they got married to get past the first round.

Then I hope they’ve got space on the fireplace for the gold carriage clock alongside the Aviation award.

What next, a Blankety Blank checkbook and pen?

Windymoore · 03/03/2024 18:57

Don't panic...but she's behind you...with a cleaver!!!

User442681bgt · 03/03/2024 18:59

Who is Keith?

I think the suggestion is that Kate has had gender reassignment surgery. It's actually not the craziest thing that has been suggested thus far.

Meowandthen · 03/03/2024 19:02

GrumpyPanda · 02/03/2024 22:28

Why should we care? That's why there's a RF board that can be hidden.

Exactly.

I wish anyone posting this nosiness would at least state the topic in the headline so the sane people could ignore it.And hopefully MN could move it.

The conspiracy buff is beyond ridiculous.

Ap42 · 03/03/2024 19:05

I had a hysterectomy last year. I was an absolute wreck 8 weeks afterwards (ovaries removed and hormones were a mess!) I returned to work at week 11 or 12. Everyone is different. Leave the woman alone to rest and recuperate.

Okay, so just me then. I stand corrected on both her name, title and whereabouts.

@Tuesdayalready - I'm somewhat embarrassed to say that until this thread I didn't even realise she'd gone AWOL.

Oh abd of the 14days 7 of those werw spent in intensive care. I had no choice but to just "get on with things" once i was discharged. Yes i hurt but im very independant and had zero support from husband.

I hope you divorced him.

Clearly plenty do care! It is a matter of some amusement to me that many of the same Sussex squad/Celebitchy obsessives who have spent the past four years insisting that Meghan was the real star of the RF and Kate would never be missed - are now demanding to know - with increasing hysteria - where Kate is

Who are you saying on here is part of the Twitter Sussex squad lunatics?

That Celebitchy woman is actually insane. She's been writing hate articles about Kate since 2008/2009. How do you spend 15 years obsessing over someone? Really weird

WinnieTheW0rm · 03/03/2024 19:40

ColleenDonaghy · 03/03/2024 15:26

Because they all leak against each other. But even the royal family, in all their fucked up ways, recognise that medical equals private.

The main source for this assertion is Harry, and I'm not sure he's completely reliable

whenemmafallsinlove · 03/03/2024 19:50

It's plainly bloody obvious why they haven't and won't say anything about the cause. It's something they don't want to talk to the kids about right now. Which is why her parents have laid low too, they don't want to risk letting anything slip.
The fact that the King that turned out to have cancer is just awful timing and I suspect both William and Catherine are really struggling. A suicide in the wider family is an added horror. The Palace said Easter, so it's Easter.

eise · 03/03/2024 19:50

Novella4 · 03/03/2024 15:16

The palace was leaky as a sieve for years

it seems to have suddenly been able to plug all leaks .

Exactly this. I also seem to remember Meghan being under constant scrutiny and abuse throughout! No protection from the family or press. Why are we trying to rewrite history.

Kate is obviously being very protected - rightly so. Something that should be done with everyone, not just her!

Like what?

am I really naive, I just thought she had a hernia or something? Are you suggesting they’ll be getting divorced?!

Serenster · 03/03/2024 20:03

No protection from the family

What does this mean?

As for no protection from the press, just a reminder that while Meghan was a working Royal we heard nothing at all about:

The fact that a formal complaint had been made about her for bullying
The fact that she had travelled, completely privately, to Canada to stay with Jessica Mulroney (while her press team denied she was on holiday)
The fact that she and Harry attended various international functions like the opening of Soho House Amsterdam or a trip to Lake Como, completely privately (until others, like Giles Coren posted about them)
The fact that she was using her staff as a go-between with Omid Scobie
The fact that she was negotiating commercial deals with US broadcasters

Her Palace team also denied that Meghan was using diet pills, plus eight other separate denials of stories about her in the press, some of which were later established to be true.

What the Palace didn’t do was waste time and capital by attempting to push back on all the ridiculous clickbait headlines, which is what, we gather, Meghan and Harry principally wanted. Along with pushing back on legitimate criticisms of their activities, which would not in any event have been appropriate for a constitutional monarchy in a country with a free press.
