compared to the top one which racks up 812 million. It comes in after Dahmer the Monster (63,500,000) and Peppa Pig Season 2 ( 63,700,000) around the 210th position.

"Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's unprecedented six-part documentary series on their exit from royal life was watched for a combined 62 million hours.
To help put the figures in context, 60 million hours viewed is the equivalent of 1 million people watching a one-hour episode once."

In fairness though, most people who were going to watch it would have in December 2022 and those figures are from January to June 2023

And given the capacity of children to watch thr same stuff on repeat, I'd expect Peppard pig to get loads more views.

What point are you trying to make? Do you think it's higher or lower than expected?

rosyglowcondition · 13/12/2023 09:11

I think it hasn't stood the test of time. So many people disillusioned with the Harry and Meghan brand.

CallmeSand · 13/12/2023 09:13

I was thinking it is lower than expected but interested to hear what others think. I know it's all a bit redundant now though as there was so much curiosity at the time and time has moved on. The point of it really is that Netflix are starting to do this which they haven't before and so we can now see in more detail.

Lots of people still watching Suits on Netflix. (Not a point for or against H&M, just interesting.)

CallmeSand · 13/12/2023 09:15

@rosyglowcondition I think that is very true.

The interesting thing is that so many people have been exposed to their story from their (biased) perspective and it still hasn't helped their popularity one bit!

Bit of a lesson there.

Marmiteidea · 13/12/2023 10:20

Eventually all of the hype dies down and you have to just live your life quietly. It is better for them long term if they fade into obscurity. They need to just figure out how they want to spend their lives the same as the rest of us.

I honestly would prefer to be them over Charles or William any given day of the week. Being a Royal child/adult is no life.

I find it so odd that people who don’t like these two keep tabs on their every move. I assure you, it’s very easy to avoid most royal stories by simply making better media choices. Why go out of your way to find, read and post stories about people you don’t like?

Bizarre behaviour.

CallmeSand · 13/12/2023 11:36

You don't have to go out of your way to find this story. It is in the popular press too. in the last 12 hours. It is current not old.

This is interesting and very telling, the viewing figures declined by each episode.

Over two million U.S. households watched the premiere episode of Netflix's documentary series "Harry & Meghan" in the first four days after its release on December 8, 2022. The following episodes saw a decline in viewership, with 1.1 million households streaming the sixth and final episode of the show. Similarly, the number of British viewing households dropped from 1.3 million for the first episode to 616,000 for the final episode.

EdgarsTale · 13/12/2023 11:41

Well, who wants to watch two rich, privileged people whinging non stop? They massively misjudged how the public would respond to their ‘revelations.’

MrsLeonFarrell · 13/12/2023 11:42

A documentary isn't like a drama series. Not many people would watch a documentary more than once. I don't think this says anything more than that.

PepperIsHere · 13/12/2023 11:43

How can 1 million people watching an hour each add up to 62 million hours? Was each of the six parts 60 hrs long?

Why? and how do you know it's a 'first post'? Did you go checking?

Posters change user names whenever they want, it's within the rules.

I thought advance searching and mentioning a posters posting history or number of posts was not within the rules. (although I could be wrong on that).

BTW it is an interesting post for a lot of us.

Thats how the Royal Family board operates, most of us on the RF board are interested in the shenanigans of the RF, no matter what side of the Royal Family fence you sit on.

I think the point is that no new people are interested in watching a documentary that has been so roundly criticised, debated and debunked. Plenty of people didn't watch it first time round but listened to the various topics being discussed and decided (like me) not to waste 6 hours of their life.

@MissTrip82 Watching Harry and Meghan is really like watching a train wreck in slow motion. Horrifying but you can't look away.

On a serious note, American royal watchers are following H&M carefully as they are attacking free speech and trying to gag the internet. Meghan has political ambitions and with her elevated platform, this is a possibility on some level.

Thats a bit rich Roussette coming from you, you are on EVERY Royal family thread, same as I am and others are, but we don't go criticising and condemning others for doing the same thing we do ourselves. Glasshouses and all that 🙄

Why do you make things up? No idea. It's weird.

In SIX Omid threads, I have posted at the most twice. So that's nearly six thousand posts, with me supporting a poster once with a post. . So no, you are incorrect. There are plenty of RF threads I avoid like the plague.
