Meghan would have been a very young girl in the 80’s

Yeah she’s the same age as I am, we were still prob both wearing Disney and not channeling our inner Fergie but I had seen a cute photo of her when she was young but can’t bloody find it now we are chatting about the 80s!

I quickly glanced at that whilst doing something else and I genuinely thought it was something entirely different and dare I say inappropriate for a forum about Meghans outfits but I looked closer and realised it’s a piece of clothing! Phew! 😆 when I asked for photos of you without your head I thought you had decided to take it too far and lower 😆😆😆😆😆😆

That was the very height of fashion though. It might look odd if you wore that now but I bet it looked lovely at the time. Mine was all 60s simplicity. It all looks very plain😀 now.

My school prom dress (only we didn’t call it a prom in the 80s) was very similar in style to Fergie’s wedding dress….only in electric blue silk. It was the dress of my dreams. 🤣🤣

My 80s bridesmaid dress that I wore for my aunties wedding was electric blue silk! I was cooler than I thought if that was the colour choice for the decade 😉

Family had sheep when I was growing up - I loved them. Many a pet lamb I reared! I had a set of 3 one year. I had a bottle in each hand, and one jammed between my knees, and they all knew which one was theirs!

Ours were mostly Suffolk, Texel, crossbreed, Blue Leicester, Brockies, Hampshire Downs and a couple of Jacobs.

Sheep are actually really smart! We had a pet Suffolk a lifetime ago, and she thought she was a human. Never really liked other sheep. Huffed if she didn't get her own way. If you called her name from 1/4 mile away, she answered back!!

Oh and on the 80s dresses (well got married 1990) - I didn't have shoulder pads but I had the hugest of huge bows on my ass... the shame! And it was baby pink.

It was a horror show of a decade for fashion.

I have really broad shoulders and I had to cut the shoulder pads out of anything I bought, which meant no clothes sat right on my shoulders and because I didn’t have a ‘nipped in waist’ everything fell in a straight line effectively giving me the shape of SpongeBob.

I worked out it was better for me to stay hovering fashion-wise in the late 70s, and as soon as 90s grunge hit I was onto it, Docs and 501s, and all.
