Part 2 of a nice, unproblematic thread to discuss some of the fab outfits from the Duchess of Sussex, and some of the many great causes she (and Harry) and Archewell supports.

For every point made today, whether it’s about travel hypocrisy, the children, pap pics, countries they visit, relevancy etc the exact same issues can be easily raised and discussed in the Kate out and about thread. I have plenty I could say but I choose not to derail that thread out of common courtesy and also, I just can’t be bothered.

It’s interesting that the same people who derailed the first thread are insisting on doing the same here even though so many of us have asked politely, not to do that.

Is this deliberate? I genuinely don’t understand it.

Im not sure anyone wants to read a one sided ‘aren’t they just great, looking fabulous and general all round wonderful humanitarians’ echo chamber surely? I don’t want to read that about anyone, it’s boring, I like to read a cross section of views and to be allowed to put mine across.

What amuses me is that posters that can’t stand Prince Andrew and think he is the lowest of the low like to talk about him a lot keeping him relevant even when is hardly in the papers. Tis funny.

If you genuinely mean that, then I look forward to you adding some spice to the Kate thread. It’s a bit of an echo chamber at the moment and boring (by your own standards). It could do with a cross section of views.

Exactly! folk must only talk about This One Here etc to praise on certain threads yet the rest of the RF are open to criticism on any old thread. Rightly so but I just do not get the double standards.

The vacation shot is, in my opinion, 99% a set up shot that the couple have given permission to be released.

It’s too well framed, and almost posed, with the absence of anyone else at all around - especially assistants or security.

However - I don’t think it’s a bad thing. It’s similar to Kate releasing shots of the kids once a year. Papers get a nice picture, no need to keep stalking them, they get some control over what they look like in the ‘papped’ shot.

It’s what most image conscious celebrities do.

I haven’t read that thread and don’t know exactly what it’s about but happy to have a read later. Kate doesn’t tend to be that controversial or divisive, is usually on point and quite popular so I imagine if you feel it’s boring/one sided then that’s likely why.

I wasn't really talking about private flights which is often par for the course on these little islands. What struck me more was going to an artificial development forged by foreigners which has created controversy with restricted access to beaches for the local population.I thought they might have made a wiser choice.

No it's not. I have a low opinion and could say a lot of negative things about her but I wouldn't;t go on that thread and say them because of the OP.

Really? I haven't seen her go on chat shows to criticise her inlaws or say snippy things like 'service is universal' when hmtq told them to stop being silly with their grand plans.

I think the most controversial thing Kate has done is suggest the girls should wear tights, I mean in the grand scheme of things it wasn't that shocking really.

She just turns up, smiles, interacts pleasantly and leaves the drama for others.

If you really want to change the subject of this thread I can suggest a few controversial topics involving Kate and William and their clothing, outings and ‘charity’ work etc.

Pleased to see that M was supporting local initiatives.

Won't be giving the Daily Fail clicks, but good for her if she did support a local initiative. I've been trying to buy local more since the pandemic (though ilI admit it's sometimes been a challenge!)

They can go on holidays, hop on private planes, wear expensive clothes, do pap walks… that’s up to them as celebrities .

But they are not statesmen or representatives of anyone or thing so I think they should now stay in the Daily Mail sidebar lane for people to admire the odd outfit or see them at, say, a Beyoncé concert .

I suggest you take it up with the Daily Fail or have the courtesy to open up your own thread to discuss this.

I amend my earlier comment then - how lucky for Meghan that she got papped at Atlanta airport as at least it meant a local business got publicity. It would have been a great shame if that bag remained unseen. 😀
