No great surprise there... Would love to hear his story about Zooming Prince Harry, I can only imagine his frustration with the whining ninny!

That did make me laugh!

lazywednesday · 17/06/2023 09:34

says he wants to get drunk and talk about
Harry! I can only imagine! 🤣🤣

AutumnCrow · 17/06/2023 09:37

I woke up early to this story, thought I’d dreamt it, and went back to sleep for a while.

Goodness me.

starrynight21 · 17/06/2023 09:38

I'd love to know what they said on that Zoom call , lol !

tigger2022 · 17/06/2023 09:40

I’m not Harry’s biggest fan let’s say… but I thought it was pretty unprofessional. Just tip Valentine Lowe on the dl if you must 😂

Supersimkin2 · 17/06/2023 09:41

Culture clash.

Hollywood is full of the hard-working, clever and talented.

ginghamstarfish · 17/06/2023 09:42

Good! About time these people stopped fawning to this useless pair - I guess they are only now realising that their novelty value had a limited lifespan.

Viviennemary · 17/06/2023 09:44

Had to laugh at this. Maybe a lawsuit here.

orangegato · 17/06/2023 09:45

What bugs me is that Spotify etc clearly expected better? It was damn obvious these losers would be a let down so why even give them this opportunity.

EineReiseDurchDieZeit · 17/06/2023 09:51

Yeah, Harry's job has mostly been show up somewhere and everything is done for you. He maybe thought someone would do the work.

Gracewithoutend · 17/06/2023 09:52

I was soooo annoyed. He said that on a podcast, he clearly wanted to talk about it, and the interviewer had his own stupid questions to ask about sport and closed him down. What idiot wouldn't follow his comments up and nail him to the spot?

Joe Rogan would have got the absolute tea. And that's why I know Joe Rogan's name and not the stupid interviewer of Bill Simmons! 🤨

allabouttheboy · 17/06/2023 10:00

Very unprofessional.
And that is how things work. People trying to get Spotify deals try to get as much money as they can for as little work. And Spotify try to get as much work for as little money as possible.
They are not a charity. That is business.

Highandlows · 17/06/2023 10:19

Well most people saw that since they went to Oprah. Why an executive producer would only realised now? I am glad they are seeing those two for what they are. What Harry did to his grandparents at he end of their lives is unforgivable. They deserve all what is coming. Karma is a bitch.

allabouttheboy · 17/06/2023 10:21

This is nothing to do with Oprah. The Oprah interview made them potentially more bankable.
I am talking purely in a business sense. Without the Oprah interview Spotify may not have been interested at all.

He has long been critical of H&M so I don’t think this is a newly felt comment.

Do H&M have any contracts other than Netflix left? Netflix aren’t a company doing well and have already dropped plenty of plans.

The rumour is that Netflix is dropping them after the Invictus documentary shows this summer. Theirs has been an uneasy relationship. Of course, Netflix might change its mind if the doc does well.

ProfessorXtra · 17/06/2023 10:28

I have really mixed feelings on this.

It was unprofessional. I didn’t like the hint that he knows more and will spill it when drunk at a later period. I think whatever happened should have remained private.

However, I don’t have sympathy for H&M as they also ignored others privacy and also kept dropping hints about how they had more to tell.

BitOutOfPractice · 17/06/2023 10:28

I think the pp who said they expected others to do the work had it right.

NowItsLikeSnowAtTheBeach · 17/06/2023 10:32

He's entitled to his opinion, and his opinion is based on his own interaction with them and their 'productivity' or lack thereof.

Power to him I say.

Highandlows · 17/06/2023 10:33

Yes, but doing business with them was never going to end well. After all Meghan went after a very powerful family. Trying to do it her way ha,ha… a red flag in my view.

I haven’t heard that but can see the logic. They don’t seem to have brought much to Netflix and even their documentary wasn’t anything new or groundbreaking, with the other plans with them already shelved.

It’s much easier to get more contracts and money when it’s clear that big influential companies believe in you. If Netflix do drop them altogether, I think they will have to completely change their attitude and focus to be picked up with a significant financial contract elsewhere. They just haven’t done anything so far to convince me they have the drive and sustainability for anything else, let alone the skill to be at the top of a field in any area. I genuinely can’t see how they will have a future of financial independence ahead of them.

I’d say that they come across just like each other.

shmiz · 17/06/2023 10:35

What is a grifter ? What does that term mean ?

I don't think it's obvious (although certainly a strong possibility from the many stories about them). They both had a huge investment in making a big deal like this a success if they wanted to parley their short term mega-fame into long term celebrity. That's usually enough to make people work hard.

allabouttheboy · 17/06/2023 10:37

You don't understand business. This is why they were offered a contract. If they had dished more secrets then the contract would have been renewed.
It is because they haven't talked more about the royal family that they have been dropped.
