The royal family

Surely this is the death knell for the Royal Family?

Surely its now over for the Royal Family. Any notion that they are in some way special or noble is completely gone now. They have all gravitas of a problem family on Jeremy Kyle. Why would anyone bow to them or look up to them is beyond me. There is no longer anything regal about them!

They'll be fine, they've gone through worse!

thatone · 05/01/2023 20:51

That's what I was thinking too, it's all so undignified, but they have come back from setbacks before.

Woodenheart33 · 05/01/2023 20:59

I suppose it will all blow over eventually buy it is all very undignified, a sort of "Shameless" with the Windsor family 😂

I cant see how. The stories have been shite about them through Fergie and Diana onwards through Andrew and now Harry and Megan.

YouJustDoYou · 05/01/2023 21:00

Lol, no.

StallionHarold · 05/01/2023 21:05

No, I don't think it will be.

He jumped the shark by including how he lost his virginity, and that one false stepp has made him a laughing stock.

People aren't going to remember what he accuses William of. They are going to remember the spanked arse in the field that ended up in the dog's bowl in the kitchen

Poor chap - he's got the reverse of the Midas touch, hasn't he?

TanyaTurnersNails · 05/01/2023 21:07

If anything I think it will strengthen support for them, I think William's popularity will grow 😁

Greenshake · 05/01/2023 21:09

I don’t think it will be the end of the Royals, but it will be very interesting to see how they manage this. I think they will have to address it in some manner. Looks like Harry has gone too far this time.

I agree.

I agree.

Me too.

DuncanBiscuits · 05/01/2023 21:11

He’s ‘written’ about how he lost his virginity?

Why?!?

Backstreetsbackalrightdadada · 05/01/2023 21:12

I’m anti monarchy and if anything it’s making me sympathetic towards W and K and I don’t even want the damn institution to continue… but oh ! my ! god!! Harry keeps seeming worse and worse… from his own book! This is him controlling the narrative and it’s so cringe and appalling!!

skilpadde · 05/01/2023 21:12

The indignity surely lies with Harry, no? He'll never seem "princely" again.

YesterYay · 05/01/2023 21:18

On the contrary Op.

Sputum · 05/01/2023 21:27

Could be the end for Prince Harry more like. He’s made himself look a right prat.

Can't happen soon enough for me.

LadyOfTheFliessssss · 05/01/2023 21:30

We've had royalty acting like tits for centuries. They'll be fine.

BernadetteRostankowskiWolowitz · 05/01/2023 21:32

Harry is doing himself no favours.

If anything, it will reinforce the preference of a silent royal family who just crack on, never speak etc.

magicthree · 05/01/2023 21:33

I think it will make people more sympathetic towards them tbh. Every word that comes out of Harry's mouth just makes him look more idiotic.

However, of course it won't be the end of them. Maybe study some history before making such a ridiculous comment.

SnottyLottie · 05/01/2023 21:35

I honestly thought this would look bad on the royal family but at the moment it’s only Harry who is looking foolish. I’m not sure how he’s done it but he’s coming across as a laughing stock at the moment.

Ndd135632 · 05/01/2023 21:35

This will strengthen William and Catherine. They should maintain a dignified silence and not comment. Take the high road. Everyone knows that all families have arguments but we don’t blurt them out for money. Harry was always vulnerable. Unfortunately he has found a wife that doesn’t nurture him but lets that vulnerability loose. That vulnerability that people who actually care for him have been trying to protect for years. William and Kate need to keep calm and carry on. Harry will burn out. It’s sad to watch.

RudsyFarmer · 05/01/2023 21:38

William smacked him into the dog bowl did he? He’s gone up in my estimations from that one act alone.

MarshaBradyo · 05/01/2023 21:39

I doubt it

Everyone’s talking about it, they’ll survive

CrabDuckDuckCrab · 05/01/2023 21:39

@StallionHarold Your username made me laugh out loud Grin

To answer OP's question / statement: nah. So many people are still happy to bow to them. I don't know why, but there we are 🤷🏻‍♀️

And broke his necklace. Hope he didn't land on a corgi, HM would not be impressed.
