Just wondering. The only incident I can recall where there's been a clear cut irrefutable use of a highly offensive racist slur made by the Royal family was made by Harry himself.

So somebody I still consider to be a racist tw*t is now winning anti-racism awards for calling out the Royal family for racism which isn't as clear cut and visible as his own?

You're right, by virtue of the fact that Harry is of the more enlightened generation he would have been in a small minority of people that thought it was acceptable.

Obviously anti-racism poster girl Meghan Markle, didn't really consider this a problem when she began dating him because you know, people being racist isn't such a big deal.

Well why not? I'm mixed race. Why shouldn't I be angry that racism is played down to a point that someone with a racist background is afforded this opportunity? Do you see such redemption arcs going on for other disgusting acts of behaviour?

I know that the interviews these two do are scripted with question pre-approval, but I wish that an interviewer would take the bull by the horns and challenge Harry on his past comments and behaviour. I really do.

If he really was genuine he would have gone into the details of how he marginalised people when he was younger because it's pretty clear from his comments in 2009 that's what he was doing.

Yes the interviewer. If he's so genuine about his intent then he can use his warts and all story to inspire others can't he rather than some carefully scripted thing that downplays his own actions. It's basically saying that what he did back then was pretty meaningless, and it wasn't

Harry grew up in an institutionally racist Royal Family, went to Eton so was surrounded by racist views so acted in the way he had learned to act. He has since changed his opinions and behaves differently.

It's almost like all these anti H and M threads have been orchestrated to stir up hate before their documentary is released next week.

@Gingerkittykat that doesn't make it ok though , I grew up surrounded by some racist people , but you know what I knew it was wrong and didn't copy that behaviour, as we can't blame our upbringing for everything at some point we have to take responsibility for our own actions.

I'm glad you can just dismiss this as he acted in the way he learned to act, changed his opinions and acted differently, but you are wrong. If he REALLY got racism he would be making a point of publically apologising to the people he marginalised which would have been many and going into great details of it.

You seem to forget that those people will be carrying around scars from his behaviour and just personally having seen that in 2009 I am not ok with this being downplayed.
