Prince Harry: How come he's the poster boy for anti-racism?

HotChoxs · 06/12/2022 21:46

Just wondering. The only incident I can recall where there's been a clear cut irrefutable use of a highly offensive racist slur made by the Royal family was made by Harry himself.

So somebody I still consider to be a racist tw*t is now winning anti-racism awards for calling out the Royal family for racism which isn't as clear cut and visible as his own?

Whatever next? Prince Andrew to start up a anti-trafficking Charity?

The mind boggles.

I was in a work call with some Americans and they joked that H&M got the trash Kennedys (RFK's). Kerry Kennedy very publicly cheated on her partner and was caught driving under the influence. She's also a rabid TRA and revoked JK Rowling's award. RFK jr (who, to be fair, objected to H&M's award) is an anti-vaxxer and bullied the mother of his children to suicide.

Will and Kate got the President and the good Kennedys (JFK's). The long game, indeed.

The new comedy act

Theunamedcat · 07/12/2022 07:04

Also there has been a lot of discussion about Andrew and a lot about Charles when it all happened Charles is not the first adulterer on the throne camilla was the ideal wife for Charles and he should have been allowed to marry her in the first place but he was shipped off on tour and she married someone else he emotionally cheated diana physically cheated so he physically cheated does that make either one of them more in the wrong? She threatened suicide when she was pregnant threw herself down the stairs while pregnant with Harry sound familiar? Meghan did the same thing

William's 21st birthday where him and his guests dressed up as Africans - pictures are still online

I thought William dressed up as a leopard? Or something.

I thought William dressed up as a leopard? Or something.

The photo of PW on the 2003 BBC article 'Partying 'Prince turns Windsor Wild' shows him wearing an 'African' costume made of leopard-skins carrying a bone sceptre, wearing blackface

The theme of the party was Out of Africa and was attended by 300 guests including the late Queen.

Who on earth thought that was a good idea??

Guitarbar · 07/12/2022 07:27

Meghan herself identified as Caucasian on her professional profiles etc, it's all bizarre.

HelensToenail · 07/12/2022 07:34

Other guests included Camilla Parker Bowles, Earl Spencer and his sisters, Williams friends from St Andrew's uni, and Rowan Atkinson

No mention of Harry or Kate

Can you link to it, please? I can't see any photo of him in blackface.

HelensToenail · 07/12/2022 07:41

Sorry I can't do links but if you google the title of the article you'll find it

I have just looked at that article, there is no black face and it's not even a picture of Prince William!

I did. There is no photo of Prince William in blackface. There is a photo of a young man in an animal print costume. It doesn't look like William (the photo is titled 'guest') and they aren't wearing blackface.

This one? That's not William in the photo and whoever it is, is not in "black face".

bloodyplanes · 07/12/2022 07:45

Because Harry is as thick as pigshit and his vile wife who has a massive agenda is manipulating him for her own ends! PH is like his mother, emotionally unstable, impulsive and not very bright!

custardbear · 07/12/2022 07:46

It's an absolute disgrace - I can't believe they didn't have the grace to decline as so many other people have done so much actual work, not just calling out the RF without actually doing that, in an interview that was full of lies. It's a smack in the teeth to all those people who do actually do something good in the world

🤔So you erroneously described a photo you couldn't see and avoided providing a link?

Yeah I'm an idiot = had it enlarged 200% but didn't see the label guest under the photo

Sorry

If William turned up in blackface there wouldn't be any pictures to be found. It would be hidden just like anything else he may do that's dodgy. Spare syndrome is an interesting royal phenomenon where the heir's sibling is the cover story whenever there's dirt on the heir - it happened to Margaret, it's happening to Harry whenever there's stuff to be buried and it's the future for 'naughty' Charlotte who's already being primed for the role.

I find it very hard to believe the OP wouldn't know about the racism of Philip and other family members.

There are an awful lot of strange hatchet job threads around atm although I suppose this one is better than the 'I hate Meghan so ner ner ner' one. It's odd that so many people are so bothered about a fairly irrelevant couple having a telly show. It's not about you or your family, you don't have to be so personally offended and they certainly wouldn't give a toss on your behalf. Just Netflix and chill.

Minimalme · 07/12/2022 08:44

The issue for me is that the Royal Family don't represent me in any way. They are independently wealthy and privileged and absolutely nothing to do with me. If I had a choice, I wouldn't have a royal family.

My Dad was an alcoholic and my Mum is a psychopath - it's was a horrible way to be raised but it's just one family and only affects me and my siblings.

I would have to do some serious campaigning to protect other children suffering domestic violence and neglect before I was considered for an award.

Prince Harry doesn't like his family and feels hurt by them. I am sorry for him. I am also sorry for Meghan who experienced racism at the hands of a family she married into.

The publicity they got was inevitable. The constraints of belonging to a wealthy institution was inevitable.

They have two beautiful kids, a lovely home and a chance to campaign to end racism and support victims of racism.

As far as I can see, they have only tackled racism in their own family?

I would expect a far broader approach over a much longer period to attract awards.

Please provide evidence of this claim.
Meghan has always identified as biracial.
In fact, she has written extensively on how proud she is to be biracial .
She has admitted that being seen as ambiguous has given her more opportunities. Stop these horrible lies

They obviously are bothered by this so called ‘irrelevant “ couple.
This ‘irrelevant’ couple are doing extremely well.
I admire their bravery and strength.
Meghan looks stunning

What a stupid comment.

Of course he's racist. He went to Eton. They don't let you leave unless you know a good racist insult.
