Prince Harry: How come he's the poster boy for anti-racism?

HotChoxs · 06/12/2022 21:46

Just wondering. The only incident I can recall where there's been a clear cut irrefutable use of a highly offensive racist slur made by the Royal family was made by Harry himself.

So somebody I still consider to be a racist tw*t is now winning anti-racism awards for calling out the Royal family for racism which isn't as clear cut and visible as his own?

Whatever next? Prince Andrew to start up a anti-trafficking Charity?

The mind boggles.

Harry also said about Chelsey Davy who is from Zimbabwe that at least she isn't black when asked about their relationship.

No.

Which is why I bound this by highly offensive slur. You did read that bit didn't you?

This is complete whatabouttery isn't it though. I don't excuse Philip for his behaviour nor William through this post. There's a particular reason I said highly offensive slur, can you guess why I might be more sensitive to that than the things Phillip and William have done and classify it as highly offensive?

Go on take a good guess. People are supposed to be really clued up on racism and listening aren't they? Only when it suits them is my experience.

Totally agree with you op, as a poc my mind is also boggling at the cognitive dissonance. Pair of hypocrites who are cheapening the very real issues that is my day to day lived in experience. Just to secure an even bigger mansion 🙄

Kingping · 07/12/2022 00:18

And I do find the other royals being racist offensive too, difference is they didn’t release a Netflix documentary, it’s the hypocrisy that annoys people.

Completely agree, I don't know how someone makes that leap to trying to imply I don't find the other royals being racist offensive too.

@Coucous

Let me translate your post for you:

Hey poc, what do you mean you can only recall Harry's behaviour as making you incredibly angry? Look at all these other triggering incidents, why don't they trigger you as much??

You've no right just to wonder why this person who massively triggered all your trauma is allowed to keep triggering you by becoming a spokeperson for anti-racism. Please put your energy into addressing all the other things the RF have done.

I don't have the energy to explain it to you or compile a list, educate yourself.

I think all of us have things in the past we're not proud of, or ideas we grew away from. People can learn and change. Maybe it would help his case if there was an open acknowledgement of that on his part?

lunar1 · 07/12/2022 00:58

It's ok for Harry to be racist, as long as he tells others not to be, just like he cares about the environment enough to preach to us about what we should do, but not enough to give up private jets.

He needs to look at himself and his hypocrisy before anyone else.

SandyY2K · 07/12/2022 01:07

Here we go again....🥱🥱🥱🥱🥱

caringcarer · 07/12/2022 01:08

Nazi Harry calling his mate the P word. He is only racist in RF.

onlylarkin · 07/12/2022 04:27

Cuppasoupmonster · 06/12/2022 21:49

Frankly the two of them winging about on a private jet while lecturing everyone about the environment tells you everything you need to know. On a side note I LOVE the dress Kate wore this evening.

She was beautiful and I loved she wore the Lotus Flower tiara.

Megan: the whitest black person you ever did see. If she didn't wang on about being mixed race no one would know

exactly how black does someone have to present for it to be acceptable for them to be on the receiving end of racism? Have you let the racists know she isn’t black enough?

IClaudine · 07/12/2022 05:19

I have no time for any of them, but people can and do change. Matthew Collins is an example of a racist who turned into an anti-racist activist. But PH should own his racist past and apologise.

The whitest black person comment is shameful.

Because his wife says so

Sounds about right 😂

TheFairyCaravan · 07/12/2022 05:45

People change. They make mistakes, they learn from them and become better for it.

I’m not defending what he did, because it’s indefensible, however the comments made in the army were 16yrs ago and he did apologise at the time.

Lampzade · 07/12/2022 05:56

Bingo
Another Harry and Meghan hate thread.
Looking for another reason to bash them.
This is one among many awards that they have and will receive and it is for their work on racism, mental health and social justice.
Well done to them.

In what way did Camilla put Diana in her grave? Was she the driver or something? Cos I thought that was the drunk driver Henri Paul, who was going over the speed limit in a winding, narrow tunnel. Did she prevent Diana from wearing a seatbelt? Cos that’s what killed her.

Butitsnotfunnyisititsserious · 07/12/2022 06:08

But I find Camilla and everything about her distasteful including how she put a 36 year old in her grave.

If you mean Diana, she didn't put her in the grave. Diana's death occurred because she didn't wear a seatbelt and the driver was drinking

Fieldfly · 07/12/2022 06:31

Jadelily- you ok? You seem to have excessive hatred for someone you’ve never met based on things you’ve read (some of which aren’t true). Do you feel this way about actual murderers or tyrannical, murderous heads of state (putin etc), child abusers, wife beaters etc - must be exhausting!

pilates · 07/12/2022 06:46

Yeah Harry do as I say not as I do. They are a joke both of them. How anyone can take them seriously is beyond me.

Isn't it slander to call Andrew a paedophile? She was trafficked and abused not prepubecent
