Camilla is a great choice for him. But no I don't like him.

I have a lot of respect for him - he's very passionate about sustainable farming, planning and architecture. And his work with the Princes Trust has made a huge difference to many young people starting out.

I just feel a bit sorry for him that he's getting a tainted legacy - I sadly think HM has made some very poor decisions of late and people are now seriously questioning the value of the Royal Family.

I don’t really care either way tbh. I don’t dislike him.

I can't say I'd want to be his mate but he's no worse than your average famous person, can't see why there's so much hate for him. There's plenty of politicians/business men etc that do far worse to the country than he does. Definitely think Camilla has done him good though, she seems massively supportive with him.

Don’t like him or her. They have done a great PR job on both of them.

But he was no naive when he chose Diana - couple of dates and a virgin - he knew what he was getting but my god he threw her to the wolves didn’t he. Ignoring her on honeymoon etc imagine if one of your friends did that to your 17/18/19 DD today and he was 30 and then did that on honeymoon. Says it all. He treated her awfully and I can’t forget that.

No. I like him too, and Camilla.

Not a fan.

I respect them both too, for the same reasons as @Badger1970

As an aside, Anne is awesome.

Not sure about the clueless introvert, I think he was fully on board with the old fashioned view of the monarchy at a time when it was about to change. I think Diana was in love with bring a princess, lovely clothes and the centre of attention, Charles was an inconvenience.

I love him and Camilla - big fan.

I think he was a shy, clueless, introverted boy scarred by a Victorian and restricted upbringing for a dynastic role that as a man he is decidedly unsuited for

Not so clueless he isn't up for screwing the treasury and the taxpayer of every dime he can, wanking on about the 'streamlined' monarchy he thinks plays well with the plebs while protecting his own bloated lifestyle and his form for letting his hapless fence servant take the rap when misdeeds come to light.

And let's not start on the company he's kept over the years.

He has massive fingers. Really posh people always have those big fingers, like it’s a marker of being rich.

Thats my main comment on him.

He has massive fingers

Undoubtedly heavily evolved to count his unearned cash and to dig deep into the taxpayer's wallet.

Short arms when it comes to his own pockets though Wink

I also like him.
I agree that he has made mistakes and that he is a product of his upbringing, the same as the rest of us.
I’m happy for him to be king

Not ashamed to say that I do kind of like him. He seems sincere at least. I'm not a huge royalist but can see both sides of the argument, for and against.

Like my own DF, he was brought up largely with Victorian values. He and Diana were both naive when they matched, I think. Sadly it was a marriage of convenience due to her being of noble blood and available, and he at the time was an aging bachelor needing an heir.

Camilla is my 'least worst' Royal. Charles is in the middle somewhere.

I like Camilla. I didn’t for a long time, but she’s never out a foot wrong. She’s the perfect match for him. I think he is an enormous baby and she mothers him.
I don’t dislike him but feel he’s fairly ineffectual and self absorbed. He comes across as weak and dithering. Also he’s ridiculously over indulged and out of touch with people.
It’s a very different thing to have a young woman on the throne with her life ahead of her, to an elderly rather sickly man. Camilla isn’t in the best of health either reportedly. In five or ten years they will be the ones with mobility and health issues.

He has always seemed unsuitable for the role but, what with the Harry debacle, I wonder just how much is being kept out of the press.

I don't really mind either way but love the Queen and think William will be better than his dad

I don't have problem with him at all. He was decades ahead of many in his support for the the natural environment and really mocked for it which was a disgrace.

I don't have an issue with Camilla either. In fact I think she appears to be one of the more normal, if that's the right word, members of the royal family. I suspect she's a woman with balls of steel too which I always admire.

Imo, being a member of the Royal family is a pretty rubbish role in life. I certainly wouldn't want to be on show everytime I stepped outside. I have alot of sympathy for them as a family.

As a Royal I have no opinion. He's no different to the rest of them wanting to preserve The Monarchy as it is their everything.
As a man, I shudder to think of him. Overprivileged and cruel to his wife and a friend of Jimmy Savile. Ugh.

I love Camilla she always seems very cheerful and I hugely admire how not once, in all those years of being called so many vile things she has never responded in any way . I think they're very suited .
