The photo that never was, how strange that its been lost now.

blyn72 · 15/02/2022 15:30

@Lollypop701

Apparently VG has lost the original photo of her with PA… in daily fail. PA will have a field day with that, if she really can’t find it
I don't think it matters that much. If the photo was found and proved to be genuine, all it would prove is that he met her, nothing else. He has said he doesn't remember meeting her but not that he definitely didn't.
BlanketsBanned · 15/02/2022 15:37

The photo has earned a lot of money so I think it does matter in a way

Roussette · 15/02/2022 16:01

Haha... the DM are straight on to this saying it is lost, how convenient.

Yet her lawyers say 'it is not in her possession'. That does not necessarily mean 'lost' does it? But let's not stand in the way of a DM headline!

Thinking back years, I do sort of remember it being reported as put somewhere for safe keeping.

Welcome back @Roussette. I've missed your posts and disagreeing with most of them Wink

Mydoghealsmyheart · 15/02/2022 16:09

Apparently PA and VG have reached a settlement according to Sky News.

dopenguinsdance · 15/02/2022 16:09

Settlement is imminent, apparently.

NativityDreaming · 15/02/2022 16:10

Settlement in principle between VG and Andrew 🤔

Roussette · 15/02/2022 16:15

Fanks derxa, we like a sparring don't we?!

Keeps us old 'uns on our toes! Grin

Quite the statement read on BBC can’t see it online yet… VG established victim of abuse and substantial monetary donation to her charity to help abuse victims.

Roussette · 15/02/2022 16:17

Gosh! On settlement and this...

"Prince Andrew intends to make a substantial donation to Ms. Giuffre's charity in support of victims' rights.

"Prince Andrew has never intended to malign Ms Giuffre's character, and he accepts that she has suffered both as an established victim of abuse and as a result of unfair public attacks.

"It is known that Jeffrey Epstein trafficked countless young girls over many years. Prince Andrew regrets his association with Epstein, and commends the bravery of Ms Giuffre and other survivors in standing up for themselves and others.

"He pledges to demonstrate his regret for his association with Epstein by supporting the fight against the evils of sex trafficking, and by supporting its victims."

Why, in the name of all that is holy, did he not take this approach to start with??

Something must've happened or he's been given a stern talking to. Or he's so desperate to be on the balcony in June, he'll do anything!

So what now for Prince Andrew? Whether it's an admission of guilt of not surely he can't come back from this?

Shouldn't he just be banished somewhere?

Roussette · 15/02/2022 16:19

I would love to know what he thinks will now happen.

No, I don't think he can come back from this.

But the statement is a whole 180degree turn. He has been fighting it since day one, with literally NO sympathy for the victims. Now this.

My worry is... he's so deluded and entitled he thinks this will fix it totally.

Just watching this on Sky news

DuncinToffee · 15/02/2022 16:20

That's a complete change of tune isn't it?

findingsomeone · 15/02/2022 16:22

I'm disappointed she took an out of court settlement. So much for her representative saying she wouldn't.

BlanketsBanned · 15/02/2022 16:22

No photo perhaps undermining the case

StationaryMagpie · 15/02/2022 16:22

Wasn't she the one insisting it went to court though?

I find it very weird that the photo goes missing and suddenly she's allowing him to settle out of court.

StationaryMagpie · 15/02/2022 16:24

one of two things has happened.

someone has the photo, can prove its faked, and has blackmailed her into taking a settlement to save face.

Or

She thinks the case is undermined without it.

stairway · 15/02/2022 16:25

I’m also disappointed it won’t go to court. I imagine she has been awarded a lot of money. I hope we are told how much.

jowly · 15/02/2022 16:25

Makes the tiny bit of me that wondered was she after money all along brow just a little bit bigger.

I have no sympathy with PA btw.

Roussette · 15/02/2022 16:26

I think the 'no photo' saying it was 'lost' was a Daily Mail thing. Everywhere else it's 'not in her possession'. Very different to 'lost'.

I am also reading that the FBI had the photo.

OP posts:
prh47bridge · 15/02/2022 16:27

That isn't an admission of guilt from Andrew. He hasn't admitted to knowing she was trafficked, nor to her charges of sexual assault. The way she was talking, she wanted those admissions. It sounds to me like she has been persuaded that taking the money is a better option than trying to make her charges stand up in court. So concessions from both sides - Andrew admits to some errors of judgement and pays some money, she gives way on wanting Andrew to admit her central allegations.

Roussette · 15/02/2022 16:31

For anyone interested or doubting the photo, this is very interesting and makes sense
