I've started a new thread because today and tomorrow is crucial as far as the pending civil case.

And I also had a few comments I wanted to say to posters at the end of the last thread, but it ran out.

How do cases get assigned to judges, is it just who is 'on duty' that particular day?

Not sure how it works in New York, which I presume is what you are asking. I believe it is supposed to be a random system but I don't know any details.

God yes. I worked in the vicinity of the RF years ago. PH had been rather naughty overseas and I was amazed at how apt the team were at 'removing' the problem. Not one moral between the lot of them RF or the hangers on. Mess up, and they will crush you.

I have been folliowing this with interest.... I just cannot believe that Andrew will be brought to court, no matter what Kaplan determines.

Middle-aged men in a position of power are renowned for exploiting younger and underage people. Prince Andrew is no different and he deserves no sympathy.

By the way, the judge in question (Lewis Kaplan) is no stranger to controversy. If you want to find out about him, read up on Chevron v Donziger

I have a family member who was part of royal protection for PA's family.

My family member was mesmerised by these people and was consistently cross that I was not.

He called PA's daughters "Our Girls" which I thought was weird and inappropriate as he has three daughters himself so half the time I thought his long, rambling and dull stories about "our girls" were about my younger relatives rather than random charges through his contract as a glorified uber driver.

If you were daft enough to believe all of my relative's stories you'd think his influence on the RF was equal to that of Cromwell's.

I wouldn't be surprised to find him on a flight to NY absolutely believing that it was his duty to defend the RF with his glorious please, someone give him a script perjury

Article in The Times filed at 1am saying the judge pretty much threw out all their arguments so its not looking good for Andrew. He'll rule later apparently

vapeyvape to be fair to her (god knows why) she did give the interview before Christmas but the media has just picked up on it when talking about PA and the forthcoming verdict

Given her and daughters are in Verbier, I wonder when they're coming home should the verdict go against him. I'm amazed PA still hasn't sold the £17M chalet, apparently that's where they're staying. His finances must be a mess, but he doesn't have to worry about that, as Mummy will bail him out and pay his massive legal fees.

Given that all prosecutions in England & Wales are undertaken in the name of the crown, that's hardly surprising. Especially coming from the force that doesn't prosecute or weed out sex offenders in their own ranks.

The police were happy enough to prefer charges against Prince Andrew's sister.

It ws 20 years ago, I think it has all changed a lot since then.

I think flying off to Verbier is totally "tone deaf".
But then only "normal" people would worry about impending court cases.

PA's finances should be looked into, how did he or who did he get the money from to buy the chalet.

Why were they even allowed to fly out there? My DD and her partner had to cancelled a planned ski trip recently, as France changed the rules due to Covid. No non-essential travel I thought?
