What on earth is going on with Princess Charlene of Monaco?

The latest update doesn't seem to make a huge amount of sense - a sinus infection has kept her away from Monaco since January? I understand that would mean you couldn't fly, but surely someone with her status would be offered another mode of transport to return to her children?
She doesn't look well in the video, I hope it's just poorly shot and that she's not seriously poorly.

I suspect the worst, along with ^^ other posters. Hopefully I'm wrong.

So sad to see her daughter with her own hair cut, maybe innocent or copying Mum. I used to think she was suffering horribly with her mental health, but now I am not so sure. Her appearance has changed, she looks dreadfully ill. Perhaps she is too unwell to travel. I think the French gossip magazines have mentioned breast cancer and melonoma from her swimming days. Whatever it is I hope she recovers and finds happiness.

Why does everyone hate Albert?

Poor thing. She is either very unwell or desperate. Either way she isn't in a good place.

August is winter in South Africa certainly not hot enough to sweat, a maximum of 25 degrees.

Lol. As a Brit of Celtic extraction used to holidaying on the Northern Atlantic coast anything over 20 degrees could make me sweat and if you add humidity I'm a soggy mess!

I'm sure I read that she found out on the day of the wedding that he had fathered a child during their relationship which is why she looked so sad.not so easy to cancel a royalsexding I would imagine.I think he also fathered another child to another woman during their marriage.he sounds like a horrible person who does what likes covered by his status.

I think they'd admit cancer though. Why hide it? They'd surely prefer that narrative over divorce due to unreasonable behaviour. She could be anorexic.

There is a reason she is in SA and it has to be serious . Who would leave their children like this ? I'm assuming it is part of a divorce that will come out but yes I also expect her mental health is not the best . Poor woman .

"Leave her alone" - I'd say i'm doing a pretty good job of leaving her alone. I've never met her, spoken to her, no one here is personally messaging her. Strange thing to say.

Well I’m thinking if she didn’t want to marry him would she have willingly wanted to sleep with him.
I hope the poor woman isn’t being abused.
I hope he’s not keeping the children as a punishment for her leaving him.

If the contemporary reports were true and she tried to flee 3 times but was prevented, I’d say it’s absolutely in her interest for that to be known.

While she was away Prince Albert was photographed at a party with Nicole Coste. It's a really ''messy'' situation and Charlene must feel so eroded going back in to it. But if she doesn't her kids will grow up without her.

She's clearly very ill. Whatever the state of her marriage and the character of her husband who by all accounts is a total knob, she's the mum of two small children and I hope she gets better.

If I were a Monaco citizen though I'd wonder why we were clearly not being told the truth.

Seriously, though, I do think that if a head of state (even a nominal one) is behaving as some here believe, that's deserving of public discussion even if those involved would prefer it remain private. And I don't mean the adultery - IMHO, one spouse's willingness to tolerate another's adultery is a private matter and not reflective of either's fitness for leadership. But it really sounds like there may be more troubling issues here.
