According to the BBC report, MM didn't realise her visit to the school was 'unexpected'.

Did it mean the children were not notified by staff that M would be coming, although the staff knew so that 'M didn't realise her visit was unexpected'

It makes sense to me that it was officially set up but the pupils purposefully left in the dark by staff so big 'Surprise!!'

I can't imagine her just rocking up to a random school

I don’t understand what she was doing there though. What was the point of the visit? What does she have to say to secondary school kids in Dagenham?

Nothing to do with the fact that he decided that he didn't want his wife hounded to her death by the paparazzi like his mother was, or that he didn't want to spend Sunday lunches with his child molesting uncle.

Definitely a terrible manipulative woman, not a married couple doing what's right for them and their family.

Oh and I've worked in schools. It's exactly the kind of thing you'd keep quiet from pupils, or you'd never get any work done before the visit.

The school visit was probably to emulate a Michelle Obama’s visit to a North London school when she was here.

And for the eleventy billionth time Diana died because she wasn’t wearing a seatbelt in a car being driven by a drunk driver.

I am always impressed at how self confident and articulate a public speaker she is, no notes, no cue cards, speaking without faltering. Comes across as quite intellectual.

Her competencies in comparison to the other royals, who are stilted and always read from notes, is a bit glaring,

Harry is totally enthralled and besotted by her.

But why didn’t she visit a school in either East or West Sussex? Why Essex?

Apparently the photo of H & M in the car last night was photoshopped to make Meghan look bad (according to someone on the thread of people who are happy)

I think they have made a huge mistake. I suspect Meghan gave him an ultimatum.

It is the 50th anniversary of the equal pay act which was triggered by the female workers at the Dagenham car plant, hence the film Made in Dagenham and hence why MM didn’t visit a school in Tilbury Docks.

I’ve never understood why support is expected for anyone by virtue of characteristics extraneous to the actual situation such as someone’s race or gender. Why support actions, whether good or bad, just because someone is white, black, a woman or a man?

It's a bit convenient to ignore the fact that they were being chased by paparazzi at the time isn't it? And that that was the reason they were continually on the move?

Three of those photographers were convicted of invasion of privacy by the French courts for taking pictures of the couple after they were dead. Some took shots from less than two metres away, instead of calling the emergency services.

Not sure what MM’s got to offer as a speaker other than the usual luvvie platitudes. Marrying a prince to achieve fame and fortune is hardly inspirational.

And surely H should be reminded to ‘check his privilege’ (white rich male) before lecturing the rest of us.

I’ve only seen a few videos of MM talking, made me roll my eyes and think to myself ‘dollar store Jennifer Lawrence’.

But then I have utter contempt for all actors and the LA fakery. Even Californian accent sets my teeth on edge.

Dh was saying this am what a wonderful speaker MM is - well yes - she’s an actress & will know how to deliver her lines in whatever setting. The RF don’t have that advantage.
