Cutting the tiaras are woven into the hair, so balance should be okay, but surely not very comfortable.
Though I’d try given the chance 👸🏻

Bluntness100 · 23/02/2020 10:21

Time lady, maybe, but he went after Meghan, he was the one who wanted to meet her, and he has a personal responsibility for his own behaviour. I don’t think he can be absolved of that and every thing laid at meghans feet.

He might not be smart, but he’s not got learning difficulties either, he is simply coming across a likely what he is, some overly indulged, self important, man who thinks the world owes him.

Cuttingthegrass · 23/02/2020 10:22

7Worfs thank you I didn’t know that. Ouch ! And it must take hours. And then at the end of the evening you can’t just fling your shoes off and collapse into bed as you’d have to unweave your hair from the tiara.

BahMooQuack · 23/02/2020 10:22

When they had their engagement interview Harry said upon meeting M that he felt he had to 'up his game'. I thought that was terribly disprespectful to the women he had dated before.

Teddy1970 · 23/02/2020 10:23

I live in Sussex and I'm angry that they're using the county name to try and make money. They've only visited once, they couldn't give a stuff about what Sussex people want.

Alsohuman · 23/02/2020 10:24

Which makes me think these women didn’t want a future with him for another reason. And that reason is what he is displaying now. He’s an overly entitled whinging, self important twat

That’s what I was getting at, you’ve put it much better than me!

BahMooQuack · 23/02/2020 10:25

Yes I had wondered about that Teddy. I think it is really disrespectful to Susses. It's all about them. It has always only been about them., No thought, no self reflection.

And they are not children- they are on the downhill slope to middle age yet are behaving like stroppy teens! How embarrassing for them!

7Worfs · 23/02/2020 10:26

Bluntness yes, Harry is very much to blame about most of this.
Re their courtship there are some very telling gossip pieces that Meghan pursued, leaked to press and generally played a game.

Cuttingthegrass · 23/02/2020 10:27

Bluntness I can see your point of view. And previously I imagine the RF PR machine kept his behaviour out of the limelight and did deals with media. But now they’re using their own PR. And both appear to be headstrong.

Cuttingthegrass · 23/02/2020 10:29

But also there isn’t a county of Sussex. It’s East Sussex and West Sussex. So they’re the D&D of somewhere that doesn’t exist. Kind of ironic really Grin

CatherineOfAragonsPomegranate · 23/02/2020 10:32

When they had their engagement interview Harry said upon meeting M that he felt he had to 'up his game'. I thought that was terribly disprespectful to the women he had dated before.

I'm sure someone posted either at thread 1 here or elsewhere that Harry treated Cressida not altogether well and he was hard work and she refused him or dumped him for that reason.

Cressida is a beauty with brains, quite glamorous (with interest in acting), and I daresay at some point Harry mentally realised he'd now thrown away a real catch.

Enter Meghan, beautiful, also an actress, intelligent. This was an opportunity that wasn't going to come again. It was now or never.

Bluntness100 · 23/02/2020 10:34

Yes that was my thought, that the palace controlled Harry’s public profile. So everything was done with a positive spin. He just wasn’t really involved.

Now he’s doing it himself with Meghan, he has revealed more of himself than has been portrayed before. Don’t get me wrong, I’m sure Meghan is in there egging him on and wanting to use the royal platform to further her career, so egging him on because it benefits her.

But that doesn’t mean he’s not a willing and proactive participant.

The thing is, this benefits her, boosts her career, when he is stripped of his royal titles etc, he has nothing, he’s just mr Meghan. He’s got fuck all skills to offer, it’s just his name and position he had.

PelicanPie · 23/02/2020 10:35

By his own admission, Harry was in a really bad place before he went into therapy, so I guess both Cressida and Chelsey had to deal with the fallout from that. He can’t have been easy at times.
I think Harry is so completely star struck by M he does exactly what she wants at all times and his critical judgement has left the building. He sees her as his saviour and he’s following her to the Promised Land. Only the milk and honey isn’t as plentiful as she had promised. One day he’s going to wake up and everything is going to coming crashing down around him. Sorry to mix metaphors.
He is going to be in the wilderness then, having disgraced himself and alienated everyone in his family and probably many of his friends. What he’ll do then is anyone’s guess because he will most probably have two children who are US citizens.

CatherineOfAragonsPomegranate · 23/02/2020 10:37

I live in Sussex and I'm angry that they're using the county name to try and make money. They've only visited once, they couldn't give a stuff about what Sussex people want.

I think it's a bloody cheek considering M couldn't even bother to stay around long enough to fulfill British Citizenship requirements. Yet desperate to hang onto the title!

If you dislike the country so much why do you want to have the name of a county in that country so desperately??

InvisibleWomenMustBeRead · 23/02/2020 10:39

I feel so sad about the whole thing - I truly wish them well but I wish they'd show some respect for the Queen and the Royal Family, as well as British traditions and we could all move past this.

I've no idea how it will all play out but hope it works out for everyone in the end and doesn't have a long lasting damaging impact on the Royal family.

Winterlife · 23/02/2020 10:48

@CanIHaveATiaraPlease, I have not seen this latest salvo reported in the Canadian press.

Teddy1970 · 23/02/2020 10:51

Yes it's bloody disrespectful, she dislikes the UK but to use the name for their own ends that's ok in their eyes.

BahMooQuack · 23/02/2020 10:54

Did they ever go to the area Teddy. You know, to say thanks or hi to 'their' people? (I am not phrtasingt hat well, but hopefully you know what I mean). headaches and typing don't go together for me

Bluntness100 · 23/02/2020 10:59

To be honest, I see Meghan as his enabler, a partner in crime so to speak, not the lead with him meekly following,

The problem I suspect they have, is Harry doesn’t have anything other than being royal. That was his platform. Meghan does, she has her acting career, which being royal enhanced, boosts her profile, but she has a skill set and a name there. Loosing the royal titles doesn’t really impact her so much as it does harry.

If Harry loses his royal status, which he wished to keep then he’s in a difficult position, what work will he do? Speeches for money and the invictus games ? That will get old fast. He can maybe milk it for a couple of years, but after that he’s a has been that people loose interest in.

I think that’s why they are fighting so hard to stay royal. It’s all he has to offer and they know if he looses everything he is in a difficult position, his only options would be become mr Meghan or go back into the royal fold.

TimeLady · 23/02/2020 11:03

Yes, Bluntness, I can see looking at his past behaviour towards his girlfriends is instructive. And I'm sure I read that he was pretty thoughtless with his friends as well, expecting them to drop everything to accommodate his whims. Let's face it, he's been raised as an over-indulged brat, and that came over very prominently in the recent ITV documentary when they were on tour in Africa. He looked very angry and petulant throughout.

It's a pity, given hindsight, it didn't work out between him and Chelsy as he could probably have had the life he wanted somewhere in Africa. I thought she looked wistful at H & M's wedding.

LizziesTwin · 23/02/2020 11:08

I heard, from a source who is the same age/same social group, that he can’t keep his trousers on. The women he might have been interested in have better prospects.

yolofish · 23/02/2020 11:09

I think they've got themselves into one of those situations where they are going over and over the perceived insults, and getting more angry and righteously egging each other on.

I'm not particularly pro or anti the Monarchy, I like the traditions, the pomp and ceremony, the jewels. On balance I cant think of a particularly better alternative, so for these 2 to bring it into disrepute (yes, yes, Andrew I know...) is quite shameful behaviour.

peridito · 23/02/2020 11:13

For those complaining about H & M's lack of interest in Sussex - is the Prince of Wales showing any public support for the currently flooded out ppl in Wales ? As Duke of Cornwall does he do loads for Cornwall ?

What does the Queen/Duke of Lancaster do for Lancaster ? What does William do for Cambridge ?

Cuttingthegrass · 23/02/2020 11:15

Yes PH spoke a lot about Africa and following on his mother’s work.

And has moved to Canada with LA mooted for the future.

How does any of that add up?

He could have had his cake and eaten it. But he wanted to own the entire bakers chain and only sell cakes to a select few.

yolofish · 23/02/2020 11:16

PoW was there yesterday or the day before I think. DoC spent some time at Cambridge. Lancaster, I've no idea!
