www.thesun.co.uk/news/10832298/prince-andrew-provides-zero-cooperation-after-fbi-ask-to-interview-him-over-epstein-links/

No surprise there, then.

Do we think he'll hold out for the threatened subpoena or will the renewed public spotlight mean he jumps before he's pushed?

That is absolutely disgusting @Roussette

There is also this.

www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2021/mar/09/lawyer-accuses-palace-using-meghan-take-focus-off-prince-andrew

Seems to be working too.

Roussette · 19/08/2021 16:19

@Mummy194

There is another thread on this also

Mummy194 · 19/08/2021 16:48

Thanks @Roussette, I was not aware it was on talk too.

I note that the usual royal 'critics' who post about 60 times a day to tell us the same tired story of others being 'entitled' 'spoilt' 'not self aware' etc. are not posting as much, infact they are 'quiet on the western front' regarding Andrew.

Mummy194 · 19/08/2021 16:48

Found this hilarious too :

Completely and utterly conspicuous by their absence.

Oldbutstillgotit · 19/08/2021 19:55

To be fair I think the majority of people agree that Andrew is a piece of shit .
Someone is offering him $100million to take a lie detector test and be interviewed on live TV.
Somehow I cannot see that happening !

Viviennemary · 19/08/2021 19:58

I bet Fergie will try and talk him into it. Grin Would he still get the money if he was found to be telling lies.

CathyorClaire · 20/08/2021 12:59

Apparently he'd get paid pass or fail.

Fergie has been offered her own $12m deal...

I read an article about it. It was honestly hilarious!

It is a genuine offer and would be screened live with a pay-per-view!

Yes it's hardly going to generate any debate when everyone agrees is it Grin.
Roussette · 20/08/2021 13:21

I think of these threads on PA as 'reporting on' and 'discussing' as opposed to disagreeing or debate.

Well no, mummy said 'note that the usual royal 'critics' who post about 60 times a day to tell us the same tired story of others being 'entitled' 'spoilt' 'not self aware' etc. are not posting as much, infact they are 'quiet on the western front' regarding Andrew'

Why would we? we all know he is. A debate usually occurs when hapless folk try to argue against something indefensible. It is glaringly obvious that people like the Yorks and other high profile ex royals are entitled and have zero self awareness. We all agree.

Roussette · 20/08/2021 16:25

Why wouldn't you?

There's another thread and I've just linked an article that was written about the situation published today.

I'm not on MN just to disagree.

Roussette · 20/08/2021 16:30

p.s. Well done for shoehorning H&M into a that sentence!
Deft!

CathyorClaire · 20/08/2021 20:32

TBF Mummy194 used them to sideswipe 'the usual royal critics' first.

I'd hope I'm considered one of them but have clearly managed to stay off the radar Grin

We’re basically waiting for the court case. He hasn’t employed sunshine Sachs for crisis PR, he’s just holed up at present

Well... I'm waiting firstly for the court papers to be served on him when he then has a 3week period to respond. But whilst he is with his mother, papers cannot be served, there's some sort of law preventing it as she is the sovereign. He might be holed up at Balmoral for a while!

What has SunshineSachs got to do with it? Has he got a connection with them?
He doesn't need a PR team as he has the RF protecting him. However, he has a legal team and is represented by Clare Montgomery QC, and her team, supposedly one of the best at representing senior business figures and politicians on corruption and conflict of interests.
Oh... and we are paying for it via the Queen of course.

Why does he need to employ anyone when the RF manage to manipulate the press quite nicely themselves?
Seems like a waste of money to me.

I'm not sure Cacacois that an in yer face american PR firm would fit in very nicely with the men in grey suits lol (the courtiers!)
Can you imagine it?
I would need a boxset on netflix to cover it... Mad Men with royalty thrown in!

😂😂😂

Roussette · 21/08/2021 07:59

Gosh.
I think I've hit on something with that idea. I need to pitch it to someone, seriously!

No no no. Mad Men but set in Balmoral. That's my theme.

(and this is nothing to do with H&M? We're talking about Andrew not them)

Puzzledandpissedoff · 21/08/2021 09:08

But whilst he is with his mother, papers cannot be served, there's some sort of law preventing it as she is the sovereign

Easy to see why he's holed up with mummy then - though while no legal expert, I wouldn't have thought the fact the monarch can't be sued would stop papers being served on Andrew?

It hardly matters anyway; if it comes right down to it, he'll develop an "illness" (complacent medics will be on hand to comply) which means he's unable to cooperate

Either that or mummy will suddenly "remember" something to squash things ...
