No surprise there, then.

Do we think he'll hold out for the threatened subpoena or will the renewed public spotlight mean he jumps before he's pushed?

I wonder if PA has started sweating yet ?

Roussette · 02/08/2020 09:02

Papers released say that Victoria Guiffre spent two days with PA alone at Epstein's ranch in New mexico, catering to his every whim Shock

If true, this rather makes a mockery of him in his infamous interview saying he doesn't know her...

Kokeshi123 · 02/08/2020 12:32

Plot is starting to thicken.....

LuluJakey1 · 02/08/2020 12:40

I wonder what would happen, in terms of the Royal Family, if evidence emerged that proved he had been dishonest and VG had been truthful.

The Queen would be left with a terrible personal dilemma as well as a dilemma as Queen.

Could she remain supportive of him?
Could she remain in contact with him?
Could he be allowed to live in a Royal Estates house? (Windsor Great Lodge which he has on a lease)
Could he keep his titles and HRH? He has Prince and HRH by birth.
Would the monarchy survive?
Would anyone in the family remain in contact with him?

Could the government make him go to USA to answer charges?
Could he be locked up there?

Roussette · 02/08/2020 13:30

It is fascinatingly awful.
The Queen has the very best lawyers at her fingertips, I bet there will be a massive cover up if they can.

I do wonder if Beatrice and Eugenie ask their Dad.... did this actually happen? And whether he lies or tells them the truth

Roussette · 04/08/2020 10:12

Apologies its the DM. This would implicate PA a LOT.

Kokeshi123 · 04/08/2020 16:44

I do wonder if Beatrice and Eugenie ask their Dad.... did this actually happen?

I've also wondered a lot about this.
Also, how much Fergie knew.

Roussette · 04/08/2020 17:54

Yes. Surely a wife (although ex, they act like they're married) would be drilling down and asking. And my DDs similar age would be putting their Dad through the wringer!

Puzzledandpissedoff · 04/08/2020 17:58

Surely a wife (although ex, they act like they're married) would be drilling down and asking

Unless she knew perfectly well what he was up to of course?
As said elsewhere, it would certainly explain why she's been kept close

Rebelwithallthecause · 04/08/2020 17:59

His poor daughters having to deal with this too.
Although nothing as bad as what Virginia had to go through.

He’s made it so much worse by lying

The queen has made it so much worse by sticking by him so far

Harry and Megan did the right thing in getting out when they did

Roussette · 04/08/2020 18:05

Yes, and Epstein paid off some of her debts. Fact, not speculation!

Totally agree with your post Rebel

Puzzledandpissedoff · 04/08/2020 18:14

Epstein paid off some of her debts. Fact, not speculation!

Even worse, he reportedly did it shortly after Andrew's infamous visit when the Central Park pics were taken

But never mind ... he claimed to have only gone there to explain he couldn't be in contact any more, so it couldn't possibly have been about the money could it? Hmm

Roussette · 04/08/2020 19:02

And a phone call wouldn't do Grin

CathyorClaire · 04/08/2020 21:35

I've always been intrigued by the reported amount Epstein apparently divvied up.

£15k should have been small change to a 'blood prince'. Especially one with a penchant for shiny watches and yet it wouldn't have been enough to touch the sides of her reported debt. Adds all the more mystery as to why Epstein had more contact numbers for Fergie than for PA in his little black book.

I find interviews with Andrew extra creepy because I can see the queen's features in his face and that makes it all worse.

How how HOW could the queen be so blind? It's one reason why I can't behind the endless fawning about how wonderful the queen is. Her behavior towards Andrew is a real blind spot that suggests a fundamental character flaw.

I get the impression that the Queen favored Andrew because he was better looking and cut a manly dash in his youth, unlike his elder and younger brothers. If so, it's a very shallow reason for favoring a particular child.

Roussette · 05/08/2020 08:13

I found the interview absolutely fascinating. His body language, his obvious complete self belief in himself that this interview would put a lid on it, his ridiculous expressions.
I watched an analysis of his body language by a very well renowned body language expert... it did him no favours (understatement)

Agree on the Queen's blind spot. I read somewhere that... whilst she didn't spend so much time with Charles and Anne because of world commonwealth tours... Andrew and Edward were like a second family and she could be more of a hands on Mum to Andrew and he played up to that. As I said elsewhere... Prince Phillip and Queen used to call him 'the boss'
Shock

Puzzledandpissedoff · 05/08/2020 11:21

TBH I'm not convinced any of the blood royals would do much better in a situation where they were being questioned - and I do mean questioned, as in put on the spot, rather than parroting their own narrative

Granted Andrew's always been a slug, but he's hardly alone in assuming the god given rightness of his existence, and for me the real mistake he made was in allowing the mask to slip ... just like his mother with her "I'm backing him, you peasants" exhibitions

Roussette · 05/08/2020 11:49

Agree Puzzled. Given that none of the RF are actually ever questioned about anything, and not on telly, I am still amazed that he thought he could pull it off. What an own goal...

Roussette · 05/08/2020 12:41

Fantastic. Spitting Image is coming back...
Introducing Dominic Cummings who will demonstrate eye tests whilst driving to Barnard Castle!

Trump who will buy the NHS from Boris & Andrew eating at Pizza Express without breaking a sweat!

AuntMasha · 23/08/2020 15:34

Incredible. Will it sound the death knell for the credibility of the monarchy? The Palace has handled this so badly it would be almost laughable if it wasn’t so grim.

Roussette · 23/08/2020 16:52

Totally agree. To my mind, it's been confirmation from the RF that they aren't bothered by this. The bells on his birthday thing could have flown under the radar if it just didn't happen, no one would've noticed, no bad press about it but now...
everyone knows and it, rightly or wrongly confirms opinions about him.

Puzzledandpissedoff · 23/08/2020 17:01

While it's absolutely right to blame Andrew for everything he's been and done, let's not forget that it's not by his authority that bells are rung

That would be mummy again - one more example of her utter blindness when it comes to her son, and yet another "two fingers" to anyone who dares to disagree

Tell me again why anyone at all believes this is an institution to admire ... ?

Roussette · 23/08/2020 17:05

Yes I agree. I would be begging to have my name taken off the bell ringing schedule.

On your last question.... no ideas I'm afraid!

AuntMasha · 23/08/2020 17:46

‘Tell me again why anyone at all believes this is an institution to admire ... ?‘

As someone who isn’t fully British, this is a question that continues to perplex me. I do notice the British are somewhat forelock-tugging when presented with someone who is for ridiculous, anachronistic ‘class’ reasons, seen as being their ‘better’ (see also Alexander Boris de Pfeffel Johnson). I just don’t understand it. If you were living next door to a family who owns several guns, who like to shoot wildlife for sport, were good friends with Jimmy Savile, bought a paedophile bishop a house and who harboured, celebrated and protected a molester of underage girls, you would call the Police and/or move. When will the British wake up and see these awful people for what they are?
