If Meghan and Harry go off and live their own life and fund themselves then good luck to them. But unfortunately that's not what they want. And that's why this is a public interest story.
TM, PH and MM are all flawed human beings just as I am. I don't get this casting of people as angels and demons. Maybe that's just the MN game and I don't understand it.

I loathe Piers Morgan, but like a stopped clock its possible he's right twice a day. Express is an absolute rag, as is the Mail but at least the Mail has better gossip about people I (sometimes) have heard of.

Actually the very fact that she referred to Kate as "Princess Kate" demonstrates how little she actually did know about the RF.

But Diana was the Princess of Wales, so she did have Princess in her title. Kate is a Duchess so “Duchess Kate” should have been the moniker.

Then in the other quote she says she was a fan of princesses of a child and aware of Kate's wedding. That doesn't contradict the first sentence!

Although if she thought she was going to get to be She-Ra I can see how she would be disappointed and step back!

I remember vaguely reading about the banana messages at the time and thinking it seemed a bit trite but didn't make me think less of her, and she raised awareness.

Ahh back to pointed personal comments I see ! , I would hardly call it spirited , I've read every post and haven't seen froq defend him , just refuse to condemn him which isn't the same at all!

rockingchair because to my knowledge we still have a working monarchy, unless the revolution is coming tomorrow - which I doubt.

HMQ has been in post over 70 years; Charles is coming up to 75; William is 40(?) and has a young family. For years they counted on Hazza stepping up to the mark, perhaps wrongly, but now he's stepped away there are gaps to fill in the workload at the very least.

Plus they do actually care about what they represent I believe, so they will also be involved in as much damage limitation as they can.

The 'spare' and relatively new wife buggering off to become loose cannons outside the fold of royal protection, security and the royal rota for media can only be a practical headache, alongside the emotional turmoil for them all.
