So the saga continues
Thé Canadians are not happy about paying for the Sussexes security

I think that will be their downfall. They can’t actually fund the cost of their «freedom»
Other security experts saying that the cost of 24/7 private security is about £4million per year.

Problem is; they have skipped the a Royal fold, and have to pay the real cost of their security and accommodation . They will have to sell every aspect of their Lives to fund this.

@pallisers I'm calling bullshit on that statement. But well done for getting funerals and Two small boys into a thread about a very alive adult couple, that encapsulates the very response you're trying to sneer at very well.

This is just people enjoying gossip as we always have done and if you were any different you wouldn't be here.

pallisers · 15/01/2020 01:45

What is bullshit? it is the truth? you have no idea what you sound and look like to people who are not from the UK - batshit crazy and obsessed is the least of it. Enjoying gossip is not what you are doing. And you know it.

And what the fuck if I were any different I wouldn't be here??? Are you for real? I don't give a shit about the royal family. I can still read a pile on on a new mother and react.

This thread and the others are a disgrace. MN should be ashamed of itself for tolerating it. You won't feel ashamed of yourselves because you are having a FABULOUS time bitching about a woman you seem to think isn't real.

Shame on you.

AlexaAmbidextra · 15/01/2020 01:51

Hmm. I think Jessica Mulroney has joined us.

Princess Michael, now there’s your racist grin
.......
Is she? I honestly didn't know that.

SunsetBoulevard3 · 15/01/2020 01:55

I was thinking the same thing about Pippa and Harry. I was really hoping it would happen at the time, but guess it might have felt a bit incestuous for them. I think she would have been great for him.

SunsetBoulevard3 · 15/01/2020 01:56

@ bluerussian
The blackamoor brooch?

BillieEilish · 15/01/2020 01:59

Lord Pallisers, hope you're OK.

If you don't live in the UK and have grown up with the Royal Family, it would look odd to you. I wouldn't know inherently anything different for another country either.Best to stay away from the thread.

It won't make sense to you.

BillieEilish · 15/01/2020 02:01

Oh and if we want to discuss our Royal Family and the total shitshow that is going on, we will. Smile

BillieEilish · 15/01/2020 02:08

'A new mother', I was knocking on 40 too! I was a new mother getting on with it. There's so much to do! But I was hands on, sadly I didn't have anyone to prepare food, shop, change the nappy, babysit, wash the clothes etc Sad I could never leave my baby for an hour, let alone days!

But it was worth every second!

sam221 · 15/01/2020 02:12

This is a leading site across the internet, where mostly women engage with other women.
I wish we could join together in sisterhood and support a young mother. This women had a baby less than a year ago, women go through so many emotional upheavals after having a baby and hers was done with a lot of public scrutiny. She is a human being, with real feelings and with a small baby.

Imagine for a moment this was a thread by a newly married woman, who had just had a baby. Whose partners family are unsupportive and demanding? A woman who gets blamed for everything?
Whose partner is treated as though he is not allowed thoughts or feelings of his own by his extended family(the public)
A partner who had a very troubled childhood, adultering father, mother dying and going off the rails(Vegas/Nazi costume).
A partner who now wants to step as a adult and put his wife and baby first?
I think most of the responses on a normal thread, would be to advise a new mother to let the partner deal with 'his family'. To go no contact and look after their babies interest first and foremost.

I have no real interest in this subject but have truly been shocked by some of the responses on this site.

I do hope that Megan and Harry find the happiness they seek. They are putting their baby and their family unit first-which is the Mumsnet way!
Also the romantic in me, applauds Harry becoming hero in his own story.

BillieEilish · 15/01/2020 02:15

She is not a young mother. Hmm

She is actually a geriatric mother! (Or at least I was, at 37)

BillieEilish · 15/01/2020 02:16

She has a fair bit of help, resources etc

She'll be OK!

annielouise · 15/01/2020 02:20

Before they married I gave it five years and two kids. I'm not even sure they'll make that.

I think on the DM there's a clip of her age 18 going to some audition, driving around with her best friend at the time. She seems quite sweet and nice at times but oh so self-absorbed. At times she literally runs her hands through her hair one side then the other, then back to the other, again and again. She's young but there are signs of the fame-seeking LA girl there. To me she seemed quite shallow but perhaps it's only because she young. Most of the teenager girls I met when my DD was that age seemed to have more gravitas.

The link I went to was on Youtube and that linked to another. A really slick interview that I think was for Good Housekeeping. Meghan by then is very polished but again there something cheesy and not natural about her. She's totally cultivated herself.

She went for a rich man deliberately. I have no doubt that the charity things were to move into different circles and aim high at meeting a rich man. She was not a humanitarian when she met Harry. She did very little and it was with a purpose. She's very good at projecting herself and getting ahead.

Rather prophetically at the end of the one video she says she doesn't know what she's going to do next but the world is my oyster. She's cultivated a bit of vocal fry in her voice.

How could Harry not see her for what she was. Just astounding.

She's not a feminist. She'd sell her soul for not much. The burger thing is tacky. And whoever said that's what feminism is about, doing what you want. Not in my book it isn't. She completely has a brass neck.

annielouise · 15/01/2020 02:23

haha, young mother!

BillieEilish · 15/01/2020 02:25

Her nose looks very different, almost as if she had plastic surgery. But I can't believe that of Megan.

She is a natural beauty, surely.

scaryteacher · 15/01/2020 02:41

I was told I was an elderly primagravida when I had ds at 29, back in 1995. MM is not 'young', and has been married before, so less of newly wed stuff. Given how much respect she has for marriage, I'm surprised she didn't post the rings and Archie back when she skedaddled back to Canada.

ChequerBoard · 15/01/2020 02:50

Hear hear @sam221, I totally agree. Nice to see some common sense amongst the sea of deluded posters who are so keen to paint Meghan as the villain of the piece.

Honestly, you should all be ashamed of yourselves,

BillieEilish · 15/01/2020 02:51

Why?

BillieEilish · 15/01/2020 02:51

Why do you think we are deluded?

SecretGuiltyPleasureLoveIsland · 15/01/2020 03:20

Wow, the comments on their Instagram page! Even after the Grenfell post. I don't think they can keep up with deleting them.

I can just see the job advert for a team of deleted.

WendyMoiraAngelaDarling · 15/01/2020 04:56

Shame on you

Oh pipe down. No one is interested in your pompous telling offs. Yours or anyone else's.

GlitchStitch · 15/01/2020 05:08

The 'leave this poor young (middled aged) mother alone' posts were annoying even before the staged paparazzi pics.

GlitchStitch · 15/01/2020 05:09

*middle aged

ChequerBoard · 15/01/2020 05:53

WendyMoiraAngelaDarling oh you crack on, I shall imagine you and your thread cronies cackling your inane rambling ma and imagine insights to each other as you do your knitting at the foot of the guillotine.

Quite a relevant allegory actually, there was a lot of made up shit about Marie Antoinette too.

WendyMoiraAngelaDarling · 15/01/2020 05:55

Oh you do that. You'll certainly be giving me/this thread more head space than I'll be giving you Smile
