So the saga continues
Thé Canadians are not happy about paying for the Sussexes security

I think that will be their downfall. They can’t actually fund the cost of their «freedom»
Other security experts saying that the cost of 24/7 private security is about £4million per year.

Problem is; they have skipped the a Royal fold, and have to pay the real cost of their security and accommodation . They will have to sell every aspect of their Lives to fund this.

Not family - husband Confused

NotJustACigar · 14/01/2020 18:08

I wonder if Harry actually has any idea of what he'd like to do with his life instead of being a member of the royal family. He's said if he wasn't a prince he'd like to live in Africa and be a safari guide but that isn't exactly practical plus he's got MM and Archie to think about now.

CatherineOfAragonsPrayerBook · 14/01/2020 18:09

Yes Oprah backtracked quite quickly. Appearing complicit to support black mail isn't a good look.

DeeZastris · 14/01/2020 18:10

Who wants to associate with someone who would so willingly tell all the family secrets on a chat show?

Alsohuman · 14/01/2020 18:12

He has burned his boats with his family and the British public and has made his bed and will have to lie on it

I disagree. He’ll be welcome to come back any time. If it’s as a separated man he’ll get a lot of sympathy. It would be the easiest thing in the world to return, live relatively quietly and do royal engagements of his choice.

blinkingowl · 14/01/2020 18:13

Would people think I was mad to say I don’t think Archie is real. They borrowed a baby for S Africa. Apart from that all we've seen is photo shopped pics. Just my opinion of course.

Lordfrontpaw · 14/01/2020 18:13

It seems to me like a woman with very few family ties marries into a family who are very tied up (for one reason or another). She isn’t used to this and probably felt a bit uneasy or uncomfortable with it.

So what to do - either throw yourself into the whole circus (where you are a minor player - not great when you have been a private person making their own decisions - playing second fiddle to your BIL & SIL) or back away and take your spouse with you, effectively putting a wedge in between them and their family.

We’ve all seen it and someone ends up lonely.

NumbersStation · 14/01/2020 18:15

I don’t hate her either.

I deeply dislike the fact that she has been part of a drama that really didn’t need to be, along with that daft pillock of a husband of hers who should have known better.

I dislike that she is all money granny and isn’t at all worried about the likely problems that will cause.

I dislike the fact that she had a hand on the lobbed grenade but chose not to take part in the summit.

The par of them can go. Best of Canadian (dare not say British given that we are all racist and unaccepting of her) to them.

But in my eyes if you want to leave the royal family that means leaving it. Titles, money and all. And you don’t get back.

And I really dislike the grief they’ve caused HMQ and PP in their last few years.

DeRigueurMortis · 14/01/2020 18:15

Exactly Dee...

One thing all these mega celebs all value highly is their image and their privacy.

Who wants someone in their inner circle whose happy to dish the dirt on their own family....

I don't believe these "tell all" interview claims btw. I can't believe that H&M even in the context of some very poor decisions would think this is a good move/look for them.

Mix56 · 14/01/2020 18:16

Safari Guide.....oh come on

TheMustressMhor · 14/01/2020 18:16

FFS blinkingowl - yes, people would think you were made to say that you thought Archie wasn't real.

That is one of the nastiest things that the Mail online comments section was rife with.

Why would anyone think this?

TheMustressMhor · 14/01/2020 18:18

mad ^^

DeeZastris · 14/01/2020 18:18

The baby looks just like her dad!

Dozer · 14/01/2020 18:18

Only if he stays or flies frequently to canada/the US.

blinkingowl · 14/01/2020 18:18

Themustress because there’s a lot that points that way.

TheMustressMhor · 14/01/2020 18:20

Because there’s a lot that points that way

No there isn't.

You're being ridiculous.

MrsBrentford · 14/01/2020 18:21

Why would they fake a baby Confused

HMQ would not be complicit in this.

Ridiculous.

colouringinpro · 14/01/2020 18:21

So are discussions continuing today and tomorrow?

diddl · 14/01/2020 18:21

So if he didn't want the royal life, why didn't he stay in the army for longer?

GlitchStitch · 14/01/2020 18:21

You think the Queen and the rest of the RF are playing along with a non existent baby?

CatherineOfAragonsPrayerBook · 14/01/2020 18:21

Whats Serena's family/husband saying? I found nothing except he supports parental leave...

Alsohuman · 14/01/2020 18:23

So if he didn't want the royal life, why didn't he stay in the army for longer?

Unpromotable probably. What were they supposed to do with him?

WendyMoiraAngelaDarling · 14/01/2020 18:23

I think she didn't like playing second fiddle. I think she didn't realise that in this country PH was always going to be the one everyone wanted to see and talk to. I think she thought that after a while she'd be the more popular one who everyone wanted to see like Diana was. Hence the big wedding as befits the new Queen of Hearts 🙄. She was ever so smiley and happy at the beginning wasn't she? Once the novelty wore off and everyone was still pushing past her to get to Harry and it was clear that was how it was always going to be, she was out. And tbh I am not sure I blame her for wanting to pursue her own thing.

This has been done so clumsily though. I really feel that there won't be as much opportunity waiting as they first thought.

Leaannb · 14/01/2020 18:23

Harry and Meghan will be fine. Meghan will go back to work which she wants to do and is in talks with Netflix. Both of them are close to different celebs being Megan was a celeb in her own right No one cares about Harry or Archie being 'royal" Not even terrorists. In the real world he means nothing to anyone. I love the sexism with the blaming of the move on Megan. What is that about? Because she wanted to be around her friends and family and he agreed with her? They want their own lives so she must be a manipulative wanker? Huh? You are all talking about Harry needing support? Where was Megan's support at? She gave up everything to move to England just to be dragged through the mud being called a golddigger. That's a great support system. Neither one of these 2 married while broke and they are worth 30 million dollars without UK taxpayer money. Mainly because of Harry's inheritances fom his mother and great grand mother. Megan actually worked her way from lower middle class to a millionaire all by herself. Harry is the one sucking off the Royal teet. Always has and always will.

WendyMoiraAngelaDarling · 14/01/2020 18:24

because there’s a lot that points that way

Like what?
