I’m enjoying Finlay’s company tonight as he’s back to going AWOL for 3/4 days again

Agatha is looking quite scruffy at the mo (still can't load photos!). We've had quite a few grooming gloves sessions, which she loves, and so much hair has come out. But her favourite place to flop and writhe around is the new diatomite bath mat. It does feel cool to the touch, but it's also (very slightly) abrasive, which presumably feels nice when she's all hot and bothered. It does a good job of removing lots of grass seeds, twigs, dead leaves etc... which somehow get stuck to her. She's a short-hair - I don't know how she gets so grubby! 🤣

Finlay is home tonight after being AWOL since Friday - why did I end up with a wanderer? DP says ‘always a farm cat!’

I love that he comes back to you and immediately switches on his "house cat" mode!

I think I would struggle to fully relax with a wanderer... But cats gonna cat! 😹

Rolling round outside with a tail full of bits

Now that the weather has cooled, Lex has decided he can start coming back into the lounge. He's been so lovely and purry all day but tonight he won't stop shouting and jumping around. He seems very angry that I don't understand his important message!

We have an evening ritual now.

I hold the catnip flowers out for Kitty (the white ones, not the pink ones).

She has a sniff, chomps them and then goes inside to roll around with her favourite mouse in happy drugged ecstasy for a bit.

Hi @Anniegetyourgun I could only see one cat at first 😁 Your tuxie has the same kind of cute face that my Pigeon had.

Is the little one peaking out from under the cover a kitten? Or just further away than the tuxedo?

@RumNotRun I remember you asking once if Thrifty bobbles her head around like your Pigeon did. I wasn't able to answer that at the time as we hadn't had her long, but yes, she does indeed, and very cute it is too.

@Cailleach1 She's an adult, but quite a bit smaller and with one of those dinky little faces that always looks kittenish. Thrifty does have magnificent whiskers. They are both rescues who were found raising young kittens. As far as we know they aren't related at all, but were neighbours in the rescue so we got them both together around 2.5 years ago. Definitely the right choice.

Both cats need jabs tomorrow. I've doped Gizmo with gabapentin just now and he'll get another dose in the morning. I'm getting a lift and DD2 is also coming, with her cat 🐈 Cleo, who needs to be weighed.

I can vouch for the fact that despite knowing her for 2.5 years, little Izzy still masquerades as a kitten. She's also black & white, but a lot more white than Thrifty. They are both very cute and adorable...
