@Pudmyboy when he is home Finlay is a very contented kitty as long as his stomach is full n he gets lots of lap time or general attention! The gel pads are from the range about £5 and I’ve got a couple - they are great to sit on or insert into a pillow case or help your pet cool down!

Oh my Gods! Your local NHS is proving to be appalling in every way Don't give you the results of a cancer test. Have nurses(!) who assault staff.

Will this be a second complaint from you? Or just let that one slide so you can concentrate your energies on the assault case.

God Broon, this all sounds like a nightmare. I’m glad you don’t have cancer at least.

Kitty had her annual booster & checkup yesterday. Healthy with good teeth, and lost 1.2kg over the past year. That takes her to her target weight & is hopefully down to improved diet & more exercise, but they want to see her again next month to make sure she hasn’t lost any more.

She swore at me from the carrier, which I can’t blame her for, but when we got home she sprawled out on the rug instead of hiding so that suggested she wasn’t too traumatised.

My Frankie cushion has arrived. It's so cute.

And @RumNotRun. I just saw about Frankie. There are no words. I know I am a little late, but I did want to say how gorgeous he was and how really special he seemed. But he knew how loved he was and that is so important isn't it.
I can't seem to come up with the right words, but I am so very sorry,

Sybil has developed a very irritating habit during the heat waves. She goes out - rolls around in dirt - then comes back in and drops it all round the house. Evidence enclosed.

And having rolled over - she's revealed even more in the way of dead leaves...
