Boris has actually lost some weight since he seems to have decided that he's gone off all the normal food sachets. This is after incessantly pestering me for food, so my guess is he's bored of them. The vet did do blood checks which were fine and he'll still eat the biscuits. I think I'm going to have to take Untamed cat food up on their special offer they keep sending me. I can add it to my ever growing collection of different types of pouches that Boris deems no longer suitable for cats. 🙄

My local Sainsbury’s sells the individual tins, and the tesco website lists pouches (not individual), so it might be worth popping in and trying one meat and one fish to see if he'll eat them before buying a job lot. The Stray didn't approve despite it looking/smelling tastier than Felix.

@Cnon and everyone who has sent good wishes
Finlay has now been allowed out and is loving it until it rained! Medication is intermittent as hrs not always home - but he’s quite compliant and easy to disguise some of it in food

Toad keeps sleeping on the bannister and then nearly falling although he always manages to catch himself and scrambled back up. I remembered I have a huge dig radiator bed that a friend gave me years ago so I have fitted it on the bannister to catch him. He has adopted it as his new bed. (The ripped wallpaper is thanks to Raven!)

Ugh, have now developed toothache.
Got to get up early tomorrow to see the dentist at 08.50.
Oh, and there's more water coming through my bedroom celling, so they're coming to assess that in the morning.
Hmm

And there was me thinking people moved into retirement conclaves & paid the resident's fees so they didn't have to bother about maintenance (sigh).

Hope you feel less sore soon @Breadcat24 Flowers I'm not going to send pictures of The Stray as she is absolutely furious and wants to punish the person responsible for turning the sun down and turning the sky tap on. She is most definitely not cute.

Huh.
They've sent for the roofers again as there is water coming through on to the ceiling.

Meanwhile, in other news, I had to have my tooth extracted.
When I got home, it just bled and bled, so I schlepped back to the surgery and the dentist put four stitches in. I then fainted (most unlike me) and eventually the nurse drove me home.

So quite an eventful day, all in all.

I've got a clotting disorder so should have predicted this, really..

Some old photos I found earlier of Toad and Alizè in Halloween outfits, Pigeon hugging her fish, and Vixen being Vixen. Sadly 3 out of 4 are no longer with me, but their photos make me smile.

Linney and Gizmo doing their nightly routine, where Linney jumps up on to the top of the bookcase (his soapbox) and Gizmo looks up from his vantage point on the floor, no doubt wishing be could jump up and join Linney.

Mind you, Gizmo can still heckle Linney, and he does.
A good deal of hissing and growling goes on while the pair of them are glaring at one another.
🤣🤣🤣

Ooh, and the very kind dental nurse who drove me home after I passed out in the surgery took my arm while we got to my house.

Then she saw Linney, and to my surprise she recognised him immediately. Apparently he visits her garden pretty often.

I'm used to half of the village telling me that Gizmo rocks up in their gardens and houses, but very few seem to be visited by Linney.

I'd love to put trackers on the pair of them à la Finlay.

@JaceLancs what brand do you recommend?

Finally - stupid husband has been in touch and we've been talking.
He took us (me, DS2 and DD2) out for lunch as it was DS2's birthday

Talking of DS2, there's been a resolution regarding his leg paralysis.
Our very astute GP worked out that a medication DS2 has been on was the cause. It's one of those 1:10,000 side-effects of this stuff, so the GP lowered the dose, and the effect was immediate and positive.

Sorry if I've mentioned this before. I can't remember if I've already
told y'all.

Meanwhile, DS2 is still waiting for his neurology appointmentt with the Big Cheese in Glasgow.

Life certainly isn't dull in your corner of Scotland @TheBroonOneAndTheWhiteOne!

Hope that's it for unwelcome illnesses and home problems and there are more enjoyable experiences for the rest of the summer.

Good News about DS2 and one less worry for you all.

I was thinking that too Broon 😁. Very pleased to hear the update on your DS2 - that sounded really worrying before you found out.
