Gizmo is an English interloper, who only came to Scotland in order to get behind my bathroom cupboard.

Ending up with dozens of cats could be wonderful!

When I extended the cat tree, it didn’t occur to me that Kitty would be able to do this while I’m working.

All I can think of is that she’s blaming me for the lack of sun on the balcony! She went to sleep on the sofa fairly soon after.

We’ve just been having purry cuddles with her head on my knee, so I think I’m forgiven. Hopefully.

Kettle has been chasing a tabby who dared to sit on his fence and she seems to have given him a scratch on the nose. He won't need the vet for that, will he? I've checked him and no other apparent injuries and I was watching and they didn't fight properly, she ran away after the one scratch.

He is unrepentant.

Are his whiskers really as long as they look, or is it a trick of the camera?

They’re very impressive.

I don't think they're abnormally long, never really thought about it... but of course every part of him is magnificent.

Herbie has had a fair few scratches on his nose. But he's always been fine.
Hopefully Kettle's nose will be fully white again soon!

Herbie is another one for the thug life.

I find it strange how Kettle is so soppy and cuddly with people, never hissed at or scratched or bit anyone in the year we've had him - and we've been pretty 'mean' to him at times with all the medicine and vet trips and cones and bandages - yet if he sees another cat he becomes absolutely furious and straight into attack mode.

Herbie was a nightmare with Timmy the Ginger Tom. He's gone now and Herbie doesn't have any particular enemies.
I do feel sorry for the dog next door though. Having his food stolen, and now the indignity of wearing a nappy!
Mainly because of a cat who is supremely indifferent to him. Certainly not scared!

Your protector! Maybe get him a high up perch like Kitty so he can gaze protectively down from above. Or something.

While I was getting ready for work Kitty was jumping into the under bed drawer, then jumping out & running into the living room, then running back & doing it all over again. All I can think of is that she’s doing her cardio before her morning nap.

@EmpressaurusKitty is Kitty still enjoying her cat grass, and if yes which one did you buy? I bought one from Pets@Home which said the grass would grow in 3-5 days. Two weeks later we have a sparse smattering of 1cm high yellowish green "something" and I suspect one nibble will pull all the soil out to make a lovely mess 😫

Sounds like the preschooler version of running into parents bedroom in the nuddey and jumping on the bed before running to bathroom to check on parent running bedtime bath before repeating the big bed flop. Repeated until bath was ready. Great fun!
