Gizmo is an English interloper, who only came to Scotland in order to get behind my bathroom cupboard.

He's so handsome. Let's hope a good nap sorts him out!

Frederick has been eyeing up the cabinet for a few days and, despite me saying "no" and "don't even think about it" in my sternest voice, this happened.

Ugh, just got rid of a four inch-long slug.

It was carefully climbing up the bathroom wall, so I grabbed it in some bog roll and flung it out into the front garden.

It landed by the dead body of the bird, which Linney had left on the path.

FGS I suppose I'll have to clear that up tomorrow, on top of everything else.

I make sourdough rolls, then usually put almond butter & cheese on top & give them a couple of minutes under the grill. Gorgeous.

I think Lenny deserves a prize for the imperious look of the day award this morning.

The patient has made a full recovery overnight, so I don't need to beg someone to drive us to the vet's.

I don't understand what happened though. He couldn't walk properly yesterday evening.

I wonder if he was faking it for attention (or chicken). Maybe he has developed a gabapentin habit and wanted a hit?

Fred jumped down from the cabinet after about 10 minutes of surveying his domain. However he has been back up there this morning although is currently making biscuits next to me and purring very loudly.

I reckon he decided he hadn't been the centre of attention (judged purely by cat logic that we have no inkling about) and the limp was a ploy to reassert his position as centre of the your universe.

Cats limping is often like man flu.

Man has faint sniffles and the dressing gown of doom comes out & they shuffle around saying they think they are dying; cat jumps down a bit hard & immediately can't put any weight on that foot and cries piteously for treats. Neither tends to be fatal, or even serious.

I've seen videos of cats faking bad paws and they are definitely faking because they forget which paw it was supposed to be.

Not that I would ever suggest Gizmo would behave so dishonorably.

Heaven forbid. I expect he just thought you needed a distraction, Broon.

I did spot a cat-sized Dressing Gown of Doom beside his donut this morning.

We just had to take Cat One to the vet because a nasty scab and bald patch appeared on his neck.
Yes, someone bit him. Didn’t hear any noise. I think what happened was: he was play fighting with Cat Four, and Cat Three decided to protect her.
He is now having antibiotics in squeezy treat applied to his paw twice a day. It’s much easier with him than Cat Three because he lets you put it on him and licks it off; unlike Cat Three who walks around with the paste on for hours, reusing to lick it off.
Cat Three has caused quite a few problems here. It’s a good job he has so many good qualities.

It was kind of him to want to protect Cat Four.

Pumpkin is definitely a Scottish cat, I got him from a lady who lives fairly close to me, he’s also the colour of Irn Bru. Daftest kitty ever, but also the sweetest

I've cleared cache (everything), re-booted, it had an Android update, so I've done multiple restarts, and now it's hanging on "add image". Before this new thread, it was trying for a few seconds, then gave up. It now looks to be in a terminal loop.
