Gizmo is an English interloper, who only came to Scotland in order to get behind my bathroom cupboard.

Kettle is home in body but out in space mentally. He needed antibiotics as well as restitching because it had become infected.

He is also annoyed because I bought him cheaper wet food than His Highness is accustomed to, since he'll be having 3x as much to make up for no biscuits.

I am feeling a bit mean. But the amount I've paid in vet's fees would have kept him in fancy wet food for a year 😄

Poor Kettle. Hope he's back on form soon.

I think really it's the texture he's pissed off about. It's more pate style which I didn't realise as I'd never bought this kind before and it's in German, which I don't speak at all. Just got it because it came in bigger cans and looked half decent but he's never liked the pate texture. I might get some lick e lix to mix in to make it more appealing.

He'd probably eat any old rubbish that was chunks in gravy so it's my own fault.

And Gizmo.

Oh the poor fella! No doubt he will be miserable for a few days but here's very much hoping he is back to his magnificent self soon.
He's still photogenic even when he is off his head!😻

I think Linney is just wondering why Gizmo lies on his back with his legs in the air, exposing his perineum.

Linney is much more dignified and wouldn't dream of such a thing.

DS has been plying Herbie with drugs!
(Actually, he topped up Herbie's turtle with fresh catnip).

Esgaroth: thank goodness Kettle is a sweet boy. If that was Gizmo or Cat One you’d have to sleep with one eye open.

We used to have law and order regarding the kitchen bench. I was very strict and would say “No” and clap and Cat One and Two perched on the microwave to supervise dinner preparation and never hopped on the eating end of the table.

Now we have this.

Linney is never allowed on the work surfaces in the kitchen.

And Gizmo can't reach them

Kitty’s not that interested most of the time. She’d rather focus her efforts on trying to break into the treat drawer.

And this. There is one of Cat Three sitting casually on the chopping board but I can’t find it.
This is partly the result of us not yelling at Cat Three because he gets scared, and partly Cat One has maxed out his cat levels and now can’t be told what to do.

And none of ours would dare go on the kitchen table...

Sybil isn't ON the kitchen table, she's politely occupying a chair and eating food that is on the table.

Tail end of shedding season here, which means hopefully a little less throwing up of hairballs. Girlcat does stealth vomits, only way I realised she was throwing up yesterday was the heaving motion I caught out of the corner of my eye. Tobias does performance vomiting, making as much noise as possible then pronouncing loudly after the event that he has finished, which I heard from 2 rooms away while still half asleep.

Kettle is enjoying tummy rubs from DD in his new bed. He looks extremely grumpy but in real life he has achieved maximum relaxation.

Gizmo would take my arm off if I tried to tickle his tummy.

He made a vague attempt to inflict multiple injuries when I scritched his head yesterday, but I withdrew fairly quickly.

Herbie is a traitor!
Today he was AWOL from 9 until 5. He wasn't interested in food when he returned. Someone must be letting him in and feeding him...
I am going to put a collar on him later. We are also going to put leaflets round instructing people not to feed him or let him in. I am going to put something similar on the Facebook group for our area.
I could really do without the stress of this right now. DS having teenage angst as usual, DD hardly communicating with us, and the 3rd anniversary of my mum's death on Monday.
Cats! Who'd have 'em!

Or maybe he has found himself a 9 - 5 job!
He's certainly tired after his day.
