..... behind Gizmo, of course.

Calling all cats! Come and get some chicken.

You could have spent a fortune on expensive cat toys and they'd still prefer the box that the last consignment of Felix arrived in.
🤣

Always. 😹

Here is Herbie with his purple puss and shoelace.
And a picture of him asleep on the sofa.

I'm sorry Broon, that all sounds very difficult. I'm glad you're doing ok and have a good support network around you. Matilda sends her love from a warm patch of sunshine she found.

Have I already posted this one of Kitty off her face on catnip?

I tried to shut Joancat out of my study during an important videocall.

@Esgaroth can you pick up a roll of black bin bags as I think Broon has some rubbish she needs to clear out?

Here’s Miss B for you, Broon

Ha ha ha she looks determined, like Gizmo does when he's trying to get into the bathroom.

Lol I'd love to just chuck his stuff into bin bags.

I'm not one of those mad women who set fire to their ex's clothes although it sounds like a good idea

Could you use them to line the cat beds and then give them back in that state if he wants them back Broon?

TheBroonOneAndTheWhiteOne · 24/09/2025 17:58

Allergictoironing · 24/09/2025 16:15

Completely agree Broon! Something like that would be suspension with a view to dismissal where I work, and the fact you're in sheltered housing means you should be classed as vulnerable so she should have had training on this kind of thing.

Thank you Allergic. And all of you.

It's ironic that I campaigned for the warden to keep her job, several months ago. To be fair, I was campaigning for the actual role to remain, not for this specific warden to remain in post.

Have just told DS1 about the warden and, to use that well-worn MN phrase, he's fuming.

@TheBroonOneAndTheWhiteOne Hope you are OK.
Difficult to try to chill especially with the nosey warden, but please do not jeopardize your sheltered housing.

Oh not much progress, I've been on a break from it with our holiday and also I got a new game for my birthday and the Strike book... I'll be back to it once I've completed Kingdom Come Deliverance II (which is an absolute cracker for any RPG fans although I know most of you are far more cultured than that).

I'm not very cultured and all the classical music discussion goes right over my head. I do like a cross stitch though and I'll have a look at that game for my x box. This reminds me that I need to take a suitable photo, now I have my new phone and make a Boris and Matilda cross stitch pattern.

RumNotRun · 24/09/2025 18:41

Lex says he will happily come and wreck the clothes, just after he's napped.

I got new Lego today, a Day of the Dead altar to go on my actual DotD altar. (Sorry for the crap photo)

I do like Lego as well Rum, it's lovely that I'm not the only one on here.

Matilda's superpower is being able to fire off a cloud off fur whenever she's agitated. I'll send her round to help with the clothes furring Broon.

Just caught up with the thread @TheBroonOneAndTheWhiteOne , bloody hell, I hope you are okay on so many levels!
There's a phrase which appears often on Mumsnet which may be appropriate: the trash took itself out 💐

Unfortunately not, as we live in a bungalow.
🤣

Linney was distinctly unimpressed when I told him the news.

Right. Make a nice comfy bed for Linney using all his dark clothes. Gizmo doesn’t shed so much does he?

Actually, Gizmo sheds a great deal and Linney, very little.

Oh ok. So Gizmo needs a nice comfy bed made from all the light clothes & Linney needs some help with the dark ones?

Oh blimey, just catching up. So sorry to hear your news, @TheBroonOneAndTheWhiteOne . Even if you don't want him back, it's still a shock and will take time to process. I would post photos, but still can't. I've cleared my cache, reset everything, and still have un-loadable NMHC photos hanging around.

Can you put the clothes in the mobility scooter store? Not saying that cat hair is easier to remove than oil, but.....

OMG I don't think the owner of it would appreciate that!

It's not my mobility scooter, it's a neighbour's. Linney gets through a gap in the door, and Picard jumps up and sits on the roof.

Gizmo, incapable of jumping, does not. He could get through the gap in the door but he's too busy poke-nosing in all my neighbours' gardens.
