Argh! Bloody ASDA have finally just texted to say they've had to cancel my 7-8pm delivery tonight - 2 hours after the end of the slot. All their account orders stuff is down on line as well, and I was in the middle of a call trying to find out what was going on when the text finally arrived. Cats both vanished upstairs as soon as they heard my "professional but pissed off" voice on the call.

Thank goodness that I topped up on Dreamies and Lik e Lix last week, and just bought a 20 pack of Churu Pops on line that arrived yesterday.

However hard I try I can't get Basil to look like a fried egg 🤣🤣🤣

He does look a bit like you've cracked an egg on to him, though. You know, a raw one.

Finally found a pet shop I liked, so I’ve got a toy for Kitty & one for my neighbour’s cat, as a thank you for looking after her.

Apparently Kitty’s gone back to hiding under the sofa because she likes being bribed out with Dreamies.

Those toys are so cute! Fingers crossed that they will be acceptable to Her Ladyship.

I constantly have this problem with Benny!

Speaking of Benny, he had us in stitches this afternoon. I can't describe it properly, but he was sat on a sofa arm, staring intently at Walter who was sitting innocently on the rug below. I spotted this and said "Benny...no" and after a few seconds Benny jumped. But not in the normal way he jumps. He kind of leapt in a perfect arch. It was very funny, I wish I'd got it on video.

Tonight we have torrential rain here. My boys have decided to change things up and are sleeping together on the sofa! Edging gradually closer together ❤️

We decided to help him out by buying some orange duvet covers. It's difficult to get the exact shade though 😄

Same here! It took me a few seconds of wondering why Broon was just watching her husband darting between bushes.

Spotted the local NMC footpath supervisor on my way to the shop. Just keeping an eye on the comings and goings, making sure everything's in order. No strokes on the job, please.

DH was there too. He loves being out in the rain.

Only joking. It was Gizmo running between the bushes, and I've never seen him going so quickly. He's truly the slowest cat I've ever known.

Linney can really run though. I didn't see him during the rainstorm. I daresay he was sheltering in the old wheelchair house, which is where he gets covered in grease and oil, so that he can masquerade as a skunk.

Herbie is hanging around the kitchen as he can smell the sausages for dinner (not for his dinner!)

I love that Esgaroth and Broon are coordinating their duvet covers to their cats. I might have to get my black one out for Boris, although it's going a bit faded and grey now (the duvet cover, not Boris). Matilda might be a bit tricky to disguise.

On the topic of coordinated duvet covers…

I gave Kitty the choice between the toys & she picked the sloth, who is now Barry from Bari. 😺

Ghostie has managed to get into a box that I haven't yet opened. She wasn't impressed when I told her she shouldn't be in there.
