Calling all cats! Come and get some chicken.

Thank you @EmpressaurusKitty he certainly was 😻

Most, if not all, of the beastlings like belly rubs when they decide. Frank is the cutest cause when he's in the mood for them, he makes air biscuits and purrs so loudly.

They have been spoilt rotten over the last few days, pouches, chicken breasts, ham, and now little churu treats which they love! They're going to be v disappointed when normality resumes! Toad and Frank already want to see the manager.

Both Basil and Sybil now have the same favourite spot. I foresee trouble ahead...

Kitty’s sulking, because I had to go shopping at lunchtime & made her come in from the balcony.

I can't quite work out where her head and tail are.

I can't quite work out where her head and tail are.

Her tail’s going from left to right, curled at the end, & the rest of her is facing away under the duvet.

I’m not always sure either!

Linney thinks nobody can see him in the big plant pot

Herbie is on DS's bed, his sleeping place of choice.
DS is fighting a losing battle against the cat hairs, but he keeps trying with the lint roller.
I think he should be flattered!

That might actually be better camouflage for Kettle!

It’s rained on and off today so Finlay is home and helping with Lego

How embarrassing...my neighbour has just been in to show me footage of Herbie and an accomplice (a tortoishell and white cat) eating her dog's food overnight!!
The dog is quite elderly so needs to go out to the toilet in the back garden frequently so they leave the back door slightly open.
She is thinking of getting a dogflap but said they may also be getting a cat!
This is a new low for Herbie's greed. He is officially a cat burglar now! I'm sure he encouraged the other cat to join in!

I'm pretty sure that the reason Gizmo visits all the people in the sheltered housing complex is because they give him things to eat.
He also falls asleep on some of their sofas.

Lazy toerag.

Yes, but at least Gizmo was offered things! Herbie just stole the food!
Luckily the neighbour does like cats and found it hilarious.
I think I will get some doggie treats next time I go shopping and take them round ( making sure Herbie doesn't get there first)

TheBroonOneAndTheWhiteOne · 29/08/2025 16:04

What you need to do @Pianoaholic is send Herbie round with the dog treats.

Mind you, if I entrusted Mr G with a bag of dog treats, he'd find a way to get into the packet and eat them all.

Pianoaholic · 29/08/2025 16:11

So would Herbie. When we had first got him, he clawed his way into a pouch of cat food and made a mess everywhere. He also got a bag of 'dentalife' cat biscuits off the microwave and ate loads of them!

Esgaroth · 29/08/2025 16:15

I wouldn't leave dog food down overnight if I was also leaving the door open - sounds like asking for trouble!

We've been on holiday in Canada and there are no cats out and about in Toronto. Probably understandable! Hundreds of dogs, though.

Pianoaholic · 29/08/2025 16:37

My SIL lives near Toronto and we visited her years ago. I don't recall any cats either!

Poor starving Herbie, forced to eat dog food. Is he taking a new girlfriend out for an evening meal?

I'm celebrating getting a new phone by posting a picture of Boris that doesn't look like a blurry silhouette. If only I could get my new fitbit to synch with it.

It's possible, tortoishells are normally female aren't they?!

EmpressaurusKitty · 29/08/2025 18:12

I’m queuing in Asda, Lick-e-lix is apparently now developed with vets and good for cat health.
