Does anyone look at their cat and think...

...you really are the love of my life!

I look at my ginger boy, who's an absolute halfwit, and think, I love every hair on that wee body, he really is the love of my life.

DH knows the pecking order in this house 🤣

I recall a few times being out with friends and wanting to text the cat to make sure he was OK.

Soubriquet · 02/02/2024 15:02

Oh absolutely. When she lays really cutely my heart feels like it could burst

I mean. How cute is that?

Yep, DH and I sometimes find ourselves both just gazing adoringly at one of the cats and bonding over how much we love them. I think it's a bit like a Christian couple who don't feel threatened by the fact that they both love Jesus more than each other, it's just that our Jesus is a tiny hairy psychopath with murder mittens and a catnip habit 😂

nowthelighthasgone · 02/02/2024 15:35

Completely agree

Ohyay · 02/02/2024 15:39

Yes! I just adore every bit of her. Her teeeeeny lips. That soft bit of fur behind the ears. Her teeeeeny nostrils. Her chubby little toes.

EnjoyingTheSilence · 02/02/2024 15:39

Love my cats but they are both total arseholes!!!

Toddlerteaplease · 02/02/2024 15:42

Yes! look at them and wonder what I did to end up with them. Cheddar is just the loveliest cat you could ever meet. And my late pair were really beautiful with lovely personalities. Penelope is turning into an absolute poppet.

Mammma91 · 02/02/2024 15:42

Absolutely. Currently pregnant with DC2 and all 3 of my cats haven’t left my side in 30 weeks! They even come with me to the bathroom. And they don’t talk back unlike toddler DS and DP! They really are my little best friends.

eurochick · 02/02/2024 15:42

I miss mine so much on my office days.

Alphabet1spaghetti2 · 02/02/2024 15:43

Yes. I think we must be odd - we’ve been house hunting and the first three things we look for are 1) litter trays were they could go 2) does it have a porch so we can get out whilst the cats are safe inside 3) maybe most importantly, where and how big would a catio go?
we’ve even considered a house that would need major under pinning as it met all these criteria. Budget be damned!
mind you we have been known to buy a new to us car purely because we managed to be adopted by a huge Alsatian /Labrador cross, and a mini just wasn’t big enough. So yeah we love our animals.

Funkyslippers · 02/02/2024 15:44

Oh my god, my little Pixie cat is my best friend. She's the sweetest angel that ever lived. When she cuddles up to me on cold nights in bed I feel like I have everything I need. This is her asking to have some of my clotted cream

Praise the cat lord 🙌 I have found my people.

Your kitties are so lucky to have you all as their humans 💕

You should get a pet cam and you could see him and speak to him when you're not in.

But, if you're anything like me you would never get anything done outside the house because you'd be on that damn pet cam constantly!

I love it when they do that little activation noise when you touch them. You know the “burrrup’

Moier · 02/02/2024 15:53

Oh definitely.
Mine is eight months and he's huge.. furry and l didn't know what l did without him.. he's been an indoor cat but he's been venturing to the steps when l open the door and looking longingly at my huge back garden with huge trees to climb.. so I've just booked his vaccinations so he can go out to play.

LilacpointMummy · 02/02/2024 15:56

I know totally how you feel - my girls are the light of my life and have got me through some very bad times 😍

Apparently it's called a "twerple"

Mitsky · 02/02/2024 15:56

Yes. We say probably at least once a day how we’re lucky to have the best cats in the world. They are just amazing, tiny little paws! Loud voices! And their biiiiiiiig stretches. Yesterday my husband called me downstairs quite urgently to ask ‘if I’d felt how soft cat number2 is under her chin?’

LilacpointMummy · 02/02/2024 15:57

When I'm away I video call DH to see and talk to the cats - he also knows his place in the pecking order 😆

Well that’s a new word to add to my dictionary

This is bonkers, beautiful and funny all at the same time. I love it 🥰

My DC say my relationship with my cat is 'creepy'. They also know he is the favourite child.

I don't care. He had an awful time before he came to us so I'm committed to making his life absolutely perfect and spoiling him rotten.Grin

reddaphne · 02/02/2024 16:03

Totally! What a lovely post 🥰

Stripytee · 02/02/2024 16:06

Yes! Totally obsessed… think about them all the time. To be fair, DH and kids also obsessed. Can’t even remember what we talked about before they came into our lives…
