Aww this thread has made me so happy, warm and fuzzy.I used to feel like that about my previous 5 cats, totally totally loved them through and through, although my last cat was my total soul cat.
She died at 14 of kidney failure.I could not stop crying.
However...my cat now is the cat from hell, I am so sad about it.

Yes, he's always very vocal with me, to ensure I understand exactly what he requires! This was him shouting at me whilst I was on the loo 🤦🤣

Yes absolutely, I spent 40+ years avoiding cats because of allergies (still have them but dose myself up with strong antihistamines and have a lower allergy rescue cat) but when I look at her little face I could be holding a newborn - the endorphins I get from her are insane! Honestly if I had access to Fexofenadine 20 years ago my life would be very different today, cats over men any day!

I live alone but for my cat and she is an utter delight. I love falling asleep or waking up with her furry arse next to my head. She loves snuggling right up under my chin with my arm round her.

Our Geoff is such a ginger legend. Funny and feisty and so loving.

I could stare at him for hours when he's all cwtched up in a round, ginger puddle with his paw over his face 😍

Not so keen when he sits on my head at 3am or releases live mice/bats/birds/frogs in the house but he's too cute to not instantly forgive, dammit!!

This is my tribe!! Three cats of various ages, stupidity and attitude. Talk to them all more than I talk to my DH. However, sorry (not sorry) the dog has my heart in his big furry paws. ❤️🐾

I understand. I've had three "soul cats" and one in particular I loved more than life itself. I still miss him 20 years on.

My current cats are gorgeous and quite funny. They're not like other cats. New box? Not interested. Sleep on your bed? Why would I. Dreamies? Don't waste my time.

They don't like being picked up, let alone being held like a baby like their predecessors did and they might sit with me from time to time but there is no. affection. whatsoever.

All I would say is that if these were my first cats, they'd have been my last. They are not selling their species.

I am so envious of people who are owned by loving cats and I've even cried over it. I say ^^a little prayer that a little stray (preferably orange) will turn up on my doorstep and want to snuggle...

I loved my little Pud, heart and soul, and know I will miss him for the rest of my life. He had the softest fur and cutest purr. Used to be waiting by the door when I came in, and would run to me when I got up in the morning, for a fuss and belly rub whilst stretching himself out like Inspector Gadget. RIP my sweetheart

We have a family WhatsApp group purely for cat pics as dd1 is missing them so much whilst at uni. Not missing us, her loving parents, nope, the cats!!

We lost our special cat, I cried for three days straight and didn’t move from the sofa. It took a while to stop welling up when I talked about him/thought of him.

This year a new little friend arrived, I adore him, he seems to adore me (IYKYK)
