...you really are the love of my life!

I look at my ginger boy, who's an absolute halfwit, and think, I love every hair on that wee body, he really is the love of my life.

DH knows the pecking order in this house 🤣

@Fraaahnces OMG, how awful! Did you manage to get any closure / reclaim him? I doubt police would have given a toss.
LittleBeast has been the cuddliest cat from the off. He sleeps in the crook of my arm. He also strokes me - not making biscuits (although he does that too) - but just with his lovely, soft paws on my face / arms.

My DC say my relationship with my cat is 'creepy'. They also know he is the favourite child.

I don't care. He had an awful time before he came to us so I'm committed to making his life absolutely perfect and spoiling him rotten.Grin

My dc have become publicly scornful when I tell others of my new cat's tragic upbringing and life spent living in cars with drug dealers in an adjacent rough state ( this is actually his life, I haven't invented it)

I'm currently listening to my girl snore at the bottom of my bed and thinking it's the sweetest, loveliest sound I've ever heard. I love everything about her, as do DH and DD and she is the absolute centre of our household. Pic as evidence of her perfectness...

Yes! Dh and I agree - cats and kids first …we are both crazy for our babies and fur babies ….

I couldn't have a cat for the last decade but finally got my rescue cutie 6 months ago. She's the best thing that's ever happened to me. Absolutely adored. ❤️

I know! She's adorable. Thank you 😊

Our rescue boy, he's pure black apart from the tips of his paws and tail. Adore him.

When they give you the slow blink of love 😍

It's just the biggest gift to be accepted as family by a cat, I think.

Fannyfiggs · 03/02/2024 12:55

This is the love of my life protecting me from whatever perceived threat is in the hallway 😂

p.s. there's nothing in the hallway

Definitely, my Dcat is batshit crazy but the absolute love of all our lives and I simply cannot contemplate life without her.

She only came to us 2 and a half years ago and I adore her totally. We have just come back off holiday with DS2 looking after the cat and I messaged every day more to check on the cat than DS2🤣 I’m not a cruel mum but DS2 is an adult and copes a lot better with change than Dcat who really hates us going away😻

I talk to her constantly, she really is the light of my life.

Jennalong · 03/02/2024 21:00

With our cat we've never been away longer than two nights and the cat is 11 !
We sleep in awkward positions in the bed , because he is sprawled out .
He must get 50+ kisses a day.
He will often jump on the bed in the early hours of the morning and stand in my chest meowing at me whilst staring at me close up because he wants a neck rub and I'll acquiesce to him.

Is that love ? You bet it is.

something that made me laugh today- if cats could text, they wouldn’t.

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 04/02/2024 14:52

My adult son did say right from the get-go that our Female Cat would push me out of the Alpha Female spot in the house .

She sits in her hammock next to DH who WFH . Adds the odd interruption to his Team Meetings and paws him for attention, Then sleeps .

She hasn't quite killed me in my sleep (yet( but she did go through a phase of leaping up on the bed and parking herself probably because its Male Cats spot .

The house wouldn't be the same without them and I Know My Place Grin
