Bizarre yet impressive things your cat has done

We have a maine coon and he is always 'into things'. He cannot be trusted around meats (runs away with said meat in his mouth) or small boppable objects (that he can also run away with in his mouth).

I left my washing up gloves to dry last night and I woke up this morning to find the 'end' (the sleeve bit) of one glove in the hallway. Went into the kitchen and glove was hanging up with the end of it missing. Just why?

He never fails to surprise me and he tickles me. What was going on in that furry brain of his?

What odd things has your cat done that tickles you?

I was very sorry for myself on the sofa, nursing a badly wedged (broken) vertebrae, tanked up on cocodamol and naproxen. Our lovely old boy brought in a mouse and gently laid it at my side.

Unfortunately, I was in too much pain to bend down and remove it so had to bung a cushion on top of it until DH got home.

That's very sweet. Obviously you needed nutrition

Ours loves damp sweaty clothes. When DH returns from the gym, he runs upstairs to wait patiently for him to undress and then once pants, shorts etc are on the floor, he lies downs, puts his head in pants, and stays there for hours.

One of ours can jump really high and catch a soft ball mid air. Our ds10 always has a ball on the go so she’s been doing it since we got her as a tiny kitten. It’s absolutely hilarious!
Our 1 year old Tom is obsessed with sponges. Especially the yellow and green ones I’d have by the sink. I come down in the morning and the sponge is in some random place.

The tabby cat I grew up with once caught a house martin as it was entering or leaving its nest. I found her dangling from the frame of the open window next to the nest with the bird in her mouth.

Current cat likes looking at birds (she chatters at them) but wouldn’t have a clue how to catch one. Even the fat one legged wood pigeon happily hops around whilst she potters in the garden.

My mum's girl cats were like that. They'd make gnashing noises if they saw a bird through the window but never do anything about it. We once came into the kitchen and they were lounging on the kitchen table with a RAT (Envy) in the fruit bowl next to them.

😆😆😆

Reminds me of that video from ten years ago of Nya-Suke, the jumping cat in Japan.
