Show off your rescues!

Thought it would be lovely to have a thread showing photos of our rescues cats and how they ended up living with you.

We are owned by two rescues. A Devon Rex boy who joined us when he was 4 from the Rex Welfare Rescue. Our girl is a Calico cat found living at bottom of someone garden. We got her as a young kitten. They’ve bonded beautifully although our boy can get grumpy when she gets too playful or attempts to give him a good wash!

We got our cat from Cats Protection (I've always had cats from rescue centres). He's grown from a kitten into a strong and demanding adult, but lots of fun.

We got this leggy little gremlin from the RSPCA. Now 6kg of cuddles & ridiculous sleeping positions.

We have 2 sisters, they're both completely black, impossible to tell apart. Rescued from a local cat shelter. They had been there 5 months because no-one wants black cats and they ideally wanted to keep them as a pair. Although they rarely pay each other much attention so they might as well have been separated.

Here's a photo of one, I can't tell which one though 😀

Here's my cuddle monster from the Rspca. Got him aged 11 months when the owners couldn't keep him. He's now nearly 5.

My two, not long after I adopted them. I adopted them from a local cat rescue. They're literally the light of my life, so affectionate and loving.

We got him from a dog and cats home when he was an older kitten. He is such a beautiful boy who loves to cuddle up with us 😍

Boycat & Girlcat (aka Linton & Lassa).

Ex-ferals, trapped along with the rest of the colony when they were one, nobody wanted a bonded pair of very shy indoor only black cats so they were still there after a year! Came home 6.5 years ago.

Girlcat rules the house, Boycat is thick as shit, clumsy, no attention span, gets separation anxiety. We think he may have had a head injury while he was still feral as he has a scar on his face - either that, or he is ND.

Sadly Boycat has recently been diagnosed with stage 4 kidney disease so won't be with us much longer 😭

Just rescued these two farm feral cats, brothers, we think about 16 weeks old. The smaller one, Winter, wasn't trapped with the rest of the litter and his mother, so spent 2 weeks entirely on his own. As a result he was severely underweight and is still catching up. His brother, Autumn is bigger, bolder and much more into strokes, whereas we can't really touch Winter yet. They are both beautiful 😍

Exactly per @ProperVexed - we adopted her direct from her former family when she was three. They had a very boisterous toddler and another baby on the way, and she was really stressed. She’s nine next month and rules this house.

This is Ernie, he turned up in the garden one day like a wee waif, and he is. He’s the most loving cat I’ve ever known. He’s doubled in weight:.. eats each meal like it’s his last 😂

Turning 13 this year, got him from Battersea at 11 months. He is the most affectionate, cuddly and charismatic cat in the world (well, I would say that!) - we love him to bits.

We adopted Lilly from a local rescue in 2014. She's a Bengal - clever, demanding and a demon hunter in her youth.
