Thought it would be lovely to have a thread showing photos of our rescues cats and how they ended up living with you.

We are owned by two rescues. A Devon Rex boy who joined us when he was 4 from the Rex Welfare Rescue. Our girl is a Calico cat found living at bottom of someone garden. We got her as a young kitten. They’ve bonded beautifully although our boy can get grumpy when she gets too playful or attempts to give him a good wash!

Remember the hottest days of the year ? Temps were runnning at record levels , 39c !

The cats decided we were fussing too much and if they wanted to go and lie outside then they jolly well were going to do so !
They're in the shady corner where the house and the fence meet , we left loads of water bowls about for them.

Brother/Sister mini panthers from CPL .

Tolkien ( tabby) and his brother Tolstoy. I went to adopt Tolstoy and Tolkien came with me as I couldn't leave him behind. I got them from my local rescue as an owner surrender (their owner was being evicted). They were 5 on October 14th and have been with me three years. They're very spoilt.

are snorgles when you bury your face in them and blow raspberries (which they only just tolerate for a short while)

Yes!

A Christmas pic of my rescue who came from Cats Protection in 2018.. she was extremely nervous & refuses to go outside so she's now a happy indoor cat.
She's very affectionate & playful & never bites or scratches.

Possibly aged 7-9, it's lucky I got her insured as she has two chronic conditions which are chronic pancreatitis (she eats a low fat diet for that & needs the occasional anti sickness injection) & asthma (she has steroid tablets).

So sorry to hear Boycat won’t be with you for much longer.

What a gorgeous pair they are.

What gorgeous cats! 😻😻😻😻😻😻 So glad all these gorgeous cats have landed on their paws and found loving homes.

Much love to all of those with cats soon to depart and those whose cats have already gone over the rainbow bridge. They bring so much love and trample all over our hearts that makes it even harder when we lose them.

I still miss my old girl who died two years ago. She was a few days short of her 19th Birthday and we had got her around 9 weeks old as a feral kitten found abandoned under a bush by some friends of ours. She was very independent but the most loving cat with a loud purr. Not adverse to smacking the kids if they annoyed her too much thou but was extremely tolerance of them at the same time.

Keep the photos/stories coming in they are fab and make me smile a lot.

We had our beautiful rescue for a year. It was risk but a pre-existing health condition recurred. It was the best year.

It's lovely to see so many black and black and white cats, which are the hardest to home. When I went to adopt Tolstoy he was going to be my third black cat. When I got there I discovered that Tolkien had indeed been adopted first but his home had fallen through, so home with me they both came.

They are typical brothers. They slept together on their first night with me, and when they were first allowed out, Tolkien returned first and fretted until Tolstoy came back (tearing up the hall carpet in the process). Tolstoy is still the boss but they co exist happily and independently until they decide to have a brief squabble now and then.

They're friendly and sociable, good boys at the vets and visitors to the house love them. I tell them every day that I love them more than people.

My beautiful Rosie, given up by her previous owner as she didn’t want her anymore. I’ve had her just over 2 years now and she’s the most loving cuddly cat ever. Realised why her former keeper didn’t want her when she needed 9 months of expensive vet treatment as soon as I got her, but it was well worth it as she is the most perfect companion.

What gorgeous eyes she had! Looks worth every penny of your vet bills!

Here are my two gorgeous kittens, both torby (which I had never heard of before!). They are 17 weeks old and came to live with me 5 weeks ago. They were handed over to CPL at just hours old, as there were problems with the delivery. They lost one of the litter and two lost legs. My two needed umbilical hernia operations, which they had at just two days old. They are utterly gorgeous and watching them play together is just adorable. They’re so naughty though 😄

All these lovely cats not having a home and now they have so much love, actually made me 😢a bit, the posts are bursting with love and pride …such kind people ❤️❤️❤️

Euphrasie, surveying me from above. She doesn't make a sound, no purring or miaowing, but merely looks at you until you do as she wishes. She will not be stroked for more than a second and will not sit on you but she's never more than a few metres away from me.

We brought Loki home 18 months ago, at nearly 3 years old. We're his third home. He was bullied by the other cat in his first home and was then "rescued" by home number 2. They were a strange couple, who seemed to rescue large numbers of animals and then re-home them. I think they were well meaning, but not very well equipped. Loki was also bullied by their cat, so they advertised him.
I've never had a cat before, but was drawn to his photo and description. We drove over an hour to pick him up. We all adore him and he seems very happy and settled with us. He must be the most photographed cat in Britain 😂😂

Here are my two ginger rescues a week after we got them from our local rescue centre. They were 6 months old when we brought them home on Xmas Eve. They will be 11 in August and we love them dearly.

We added another little cat to our collection who belonged to a neighbour (with their permission) and she is a feisty little madam who rules the gingers. She is also totally in love with my adult DS who lives at home and she sleeps wrapped round his head. He says it annoys him but I've heard him calling her into his bedroom!

She is beautiful!!! I was never into torties till I adopted mine. She's definitely a naughty tortie.
Is your girl very chatty? My Saffy talks all the time. Based on her volume she appears to think I'm hard of hearing and has also worked out if she goes in the shower or the bottom of the stairs her voice is amplified.

I just adore her!
