Sad cat alone

Up my lane is a house where a cat sits in the "garden" surrounded by rubbish, cat crates, litter. It's there every day, rain or shine. The "garden" is a shithole tbh.

Cat and I are friends. I've knocked on the house repeatedly, windows open etc - no reply.

Tonight the cat is coated in paint. I've picked him (?) up and carried him home. He's stuffing his face in the spare bedroom and my two resident cats are sniffing the door

Should I alert eg RSPA or g back to the house and remonstrate?

This cat is mangy, left out in the pissing rain, I swear it's been dumped.

Are you sure the garden/house she was in was actually lived in? Have you seen people coming and going... Maybe they moved or an old person passed on etc.

i should imagine 4 - as the teeth are a good indicator
it’s great as fur will replenish and 4 is a lovely age

I have just remembered you can buy grooming wipes to clean cats fur that they can’t do themselves….

I’ve not used them but my friends cat is poorly and she says they are quite good 😽

Well. She's moving much more - gets up and miaows when I go in, does head butting, and is actually starting to purr, a far-away, reedy sound not at all like the lorry engine effect of my other two cats.

Thankfully she enjoys a brush so I'm doing that in short busts several times a day. But her fur is awful. Brown not black in parts which the vets said is "dead" fur. Huge felty lumps. I'm not sure if clipping it off in the worst parts might be a good idea??

She's certainly keen on her meals!

thank you so much for updating us and with such pawsitive news.

Twocat had blood test about a month ago and had throat shaved it’s still not grown back completely but it’s getting there, I think it’s like us having a bleach and a perm and our hair is wrecked and the only thing to do may be get rid and start again, as long as she’s warm…..what does vet suggest about the fur ….? So sweet she’s purring that’s the best thing isn’t it ….😢 bless her and you ❤️❤️

that’s incredible ‘ before and after ‘ can see it is the same cat but almost doesn’t look like the same cat….he/ she is gorgeous

@HMSSophia ive just been thinking how heartbreaking is it that she has actually forgotten how to purr ….like her little purr chords are so unused and rusty 😢

His little fang!! Yes that's exactly the orange brown fur. Greasy yet dry. Yuk

He only has one tooth and he's very proud of it Grin
Honestly stray cats I swear are the best. He is like a little loving dog following me round gazing at me
