Leroy meditates for half an hour before a vet visit. It enables him to align his chakras and increase his weight tenfold to make himself impossible to move from whatever surface he is on. He also uses osmosis to merge slightly with that surface so you can't get a hand under him or anything. It is seriously like trying to get a limpet off a rock.

You did your best @YesItsMeIDontCare. Don’t blame yourself if he’s a dog person. Dh had a childhood dog and he turned out just fine.

Tbh I don't think he is a dog person, it's just that most of his friends and his cousins have dogs and gets worn down by the "dogs are better than cats" rhetoric. I think he'll have a dog and then realise the truth...

Those of you who have harnesses for your cats, which one do you recommend? I've tried a few in the past but the cats could easily "Houdini" out of them. Vixen Quick-Feet (as she is now known due to her running everywhere instead of walking) is desperate to go outside but due to some assholes who live locally, I don't want to let her out to roam. I thought I'd try a harness on her instead. She'll probably hate it but I hope that if she realises that wearing it gets her outdoors time, then she'll accept it until I can afford a catio.

Leroy has Mynwood Cat Jacket and has not escaped from one yet (5 years). He has a "small dog" extending (lockable!) lead with it.

Maria has a website and custom makes them to fit your cat properly.

My friend got a cat, and hadn't had him that long. He woke her up at 4am, dumped a tiny kitten on her bed and wandered off to go back to sleep. She woke her boyfriend up like WTF, they searched for mum and any other kittens but couldn't find any so she kept the kitten

Our boy does Peacock Impressions as soon as the cat carrier comes into view
On the table , the box has to be dismantled to get him out , no tipping forward for this boy . Then he goes rigid , I swear I could flip him like a burger
I tell the Vet he is fearful but no aggression , he just bears it till its done but never thinks to lash out .
