Eko on the other hand was extremely displeased that I hadn’t fed him exactly on time.

FWK says I was very mean only posting a pic of the ginger kitten today & leaving out the tabby. I did point out that I only had 2 pics altogether since they'd come home & had posted both here, but he insisted I post a pic from when he first went to see them.

So 1 of tabby, and one of both for your delectation😍

Oh. My. Gosh!! They’re absolutely gorgeous!

OrangeBlossom28 · 06/06/2022 20:20

Oh! The photo of both of them! They're so floofy and gorgeous.

Papergirl1968 · 07/06/2022 10:48

Loving these photos.
Outraged Eko and those gorgeous floofy kittens. I want to bury my face in the tabby's tummy!

Toddlerteaplease · 07/06/2022 14:29

@LostCats send him to convalesce with me. I love a good abscess. Magic once had one and it burst. I was In my element Grin

Toddlerteaplease · 07/06/2022 14:33

@Grumpyoldpersonwithcats I'm seriously impressed that your so. Plays the organ. I'd love to do that. A friend of mine got a place at Oxford and was asked if he'd like to be organ scholar in his chapel. He said no as he thought he wasn't up to standard. I thought you usually had to apply for these jobs though.

Grumpyoldpersonwithcats · 07/06/2022 14:55

Thanks Toddler.
Actually both of my sons play the organ.
The church where I sing is now panicking because they've had the 2 Grumpy offspring, one after the other, as organists for the best part of 10 years and when DS2 goes to uni in the autumn there isn't currently a replacement.

LostCats · 07/06/2022 15:00

ah thank you :)
I fee really bad for him today. I think he has a bit of a fever as his ears and head are a bit hot. I’m so grateful he got the antibiotics yesterday! He’s very sad for himself but he did wake me at 6 with a very happy and insistent meow for outside. He’s really not eating, but I assume that is the infection and the antibiotics will kick in by tomorrow.

Grumpyoldpersonwithcats · 07/06/2022 15:19

@LostCats
Hopefully he'll have perked up by tomorrow. If he hasn't I'd be tempted to give the vet a quick call.

Fluffycloudland77 · 07/06/2022 15:29

Poorly cats don’t wake you at 6 for food so I’d assume he’s on the road to recovery too. He’ll need his favourite treat foods to make sure though.

FemaleCat pretending she's in a Kittening Box

Disclaimer :
She isn't pregnant
She has never been pregnant
She never will , she's neutered
If I put her in a box this size I'd have my skin flayed off

And minor point : Those are my clean towels shock]

Classic pix - Eko is stunning, so alert!

TheLongRider · 07/06/2022 21:19

Well five days later and all the cats are tolerating the very confident Amos. Hobbes has calmed down and is interested in what Amos is doing. Nemo is not very happy at being disturbed by a bouncy kitten. Amos loves stalking and swiping the robovac.

I'm trying to imagine Ollie with a kitten. Sheer horror I think before he moves to ma bush

My cat Frankenstein loves the robovac. As soon as he hears it, he rushes in to stalk and pounce on the front brushes. I was hoping one of the cats would ride on it but he is the only one who is at all interested in it.

Fluffycloudland77 · 07/06/2022 22:17

I used to tell the Bengal he was a bitter disappointment for not riding on the robo vac too. No YouTube worthy videos here.

Towels with a fresh dusting of extra fluff.

Grumpyoldpersonwithcats · 08/06/2022 12:10

I really want a Robo Vac cat toy now 🤣

Our black cats all have extended periods of complete inactivity during the day.
I'm currently surrounded in my 'office' by three sleeping voids.

Boone definitely seems better today. The wound looks healthier and he’s definitely eating a lot more.
Eko on the other hand…
He had a terribly successful day yesterday as he ate all of Boone’s food which wasn’t touched. I was concerned at one point that he would simply pop. He is terribly greedy and almost constantly on the hunt for food, be that of the Felix or the live mouse variety.
Boone is also much happier today as DH just got back from a long trip. I didn’t actually realise Boone was ignoring me this whole time until I saw how much attention he gave DH!

Plus, Boone must be feeling better. He and Eko aren’t exactly friends. And I looked outside this morning to see him using Eko’s lovely sand patch he uses for rolling in - as a loo box!

TheLongRider · 08/06/2022 15:01

A robovac is essential with 5 and half cats. It would be one of the first things I'd rescue in a house fire.

Hobbes and Amos have been play chasing each other around the kitchen this morning.

Fluffycloudland77 · 08/06/2022 16:01

Shows what Boone thinks of Eko doesn’t it? Poor Eko, you could’ve noticed he was ignoring you. You ignored being ignored. Lucky that Lord Wonderful Dad is home to rescue him.

LostCats · 08/06/2022 17:54

Oh yes. The world is a wonderful and purry place now than Dad is home 😁

Fluffycloudland77 · 08/06/2022 20:20

Puddy opened a door by herself earlier. It took three attempts at gently hooking the door towards her but we are both very proud of her. Extra dreamies tonight as a reward.

MsOllie · 08/06/2022 20:37

Ollie isn't impressed I did a 90 min spin class when I should have been cuddling him. He's draped dramatically across my lap

Allergictoironing · 08/06/2022 20:53

Boycat has broken one of the (very few) house rules.

I dished myself up a bowl of raspberry ripple ice cream, turned my back for a minute only to find him scoffing it. Not only do they never even lick the bowl out if I leave it lying about, let alone steal food off my plate (not even chicken or ham), it was so blooming cold straight from the freezer that I could only just bear it.

I have left a spoonful in the bowl & put it next to him, just in case he wants to finish it up of course.
