Oh Fluffy you are having a shit time aren't you? Lots of love to you (and Puddy) 💕

Defiantlynot41 · 22/07/2022 09:34

Love to Fluffy and Puddy

Supersimkin2 · 22/07/2022 10:18

Mega vibes to you DH and Puddy, Fluffy.

Prince kicked over the telly. Snack was 1 minute late.

Fluffycloudland77 · 22/07/2022 13:46

Puddy sends a tail flick. She’s just had her 9pm dreamies at 1:30pm. She’s not impressed.

Supersimkin2 · 22/07/2022 14:35

I call this moving study of a kitten in spiritual contemplation ‘You Know The Rest’.

He’s a very handsome boy, excellent symmetry in his markings 10/10.

I said to mil the other day I’d have another Bengal like a shot and she seemed genuinely surprised. It’s like Asbo had a reputation for being hard work. When we all know he was adorable. He just had character. Dh and I have decided you had to live with him to know how awesome he was.

Supersimkin2 · 22/07/2022 19:45

I’m a little surprised MIL felt entitled to voice her opinion after her murder attempt on dear little asbo.

Dropping a Xmas tree on a helpless kitty is not generally considered appropriate festive conduct.

Murder is frankly unladylike. Still, in-laws are always a lucky dip - you don’t get to choose at the rescue shelter, unlike a cat.

Supersimkin2 · 22/07/2022 19:47

How is DH? Are you back on bedside duty - hoping the hosp is cool for both of you (air on cool not private-Clash-gig cool. Well, that too).

Fluffycloudland77 · 22/07/2022 20:10

I know, that and feeding him ham that wasn’t hand carved 🤨 in 2012.

I haven’t left bedside duty from the first time. DNiece has been and sorted the nurses out. I’ve been going after work in my uniform so the staff look at me suspiciously. I walk incredibly and unnecessarily quickly so it’s obvious I’m a healthcare professional because we all walk like that.

Supersimkin2 · 22/07/2022 23:08

I suspected you’re still on double shift with DH. You must be knackered - yes, I know that’s not helpful to say, sorry: what I mean is can you get the district nurse in a bit when he gets home? They’re not perfect and the very thought must be wearying given you’ve got so much on already. However, they’re always at least a bit useful after the first day.

I had them round for me once, to my enormous surprise - felt like a fraud obv but they were really good. Learned that delegation is a skill not to be underestimated. Any jobs done is one job less for you and they add up.

Prince has come in squeaking and rattling his catnip mouse so I’ve got to go to bed.

Supersimkin2 · 23/07/2022 09:13

Woken up by a big purr and marched firmly to kitchen. Now currently a living defence wall as Prince tours the locality checking for surprise cat trespassers.

I miss Capn so badly I can hardly speak. He would have enjoyed seeing Prince take over wildlife duties, though.

Papergirl1968 · 23/07/2022 09:36

Oh Lana, of course you do. You loved Cap'n so much. Just hold on to the thought that he was much loved and spoilt rotten, and that he had a great life with you.
Sending hugs. Look after yourself x

Fluffycloudland77 · 23/07/2022 10:43

The first year after they pass is so hard isn’t it? Grief is so painful & ultimately achieves nothing. We learn to live with it.

Unfortunately dn can’t do anything.

Papergirl1968 · 23/07/2022 14:23

Matt keeps weeing in the hall. Gave it a really good clean, and changed litter in tray which is about 6ft away. There's another litter tray upstairs in bathroom which i have seen him use.
Just come in and found a puddle in his favourite place in the hall. Anyone got any suggestions?

Fluffycloudland77 · 23/07/2022 17:07

Have you changed the type of litter recently?

Supersimkin2 · 23/07/2022 17:08

You can get protein rinse from pets at home that banishes the smell and puts them off. He’s upset about something, probably, and putting out nice whiffy warnings to unwanted visitors. Sympathies.

Papergirl1968 · 23/07/2022 20:05

Not really, Fluffy. The brand maybe but not the type.
I will look for the protein rinse, thanks, Lana.
He is a naughty boy!

Fluffycloudland77 · 23/07/2022 22:04

Is it possible Fat Matt is so fussy he can tell you’ve changed brands? Like on eat well for less when they moan their chocolate biscuits got swapped?

Papergirl1968 · 23/07/2022 22:06

Very possible, Fluffy!🙀

Supersimkin2 · 24/07/2022 12:32

I’ve got a spare rinse bottle if you need it posted. Capn wasn’t averse to the odd H-block protest if the salmon wasn’t line-caught.

Prince fell off the bed looking for Dreamies. Got terrific purr as greeting this am. Little fudge fur head butts.

Oh Super 😢

Its so hard isn't it. I still miss my little Harley and worry about all the things I should have done better for him. You're not alone.

Sending you a big (((hug))) x.

PeloAddict · 24/07/2022 13:32

Ollie is now refusing to use any of his sleep spots and has taken over the boyfriends spot on the sofa. I'm sure there's a message there

He's just reminding you that HE is the No. 1 man in your life, and that the BF has to fit around him Grin

Thanks a million Yes. Hug gratefully received. I just wanted one more fluffy face rub, you know how it is.

Oh Ollie 😁 you are having a happy Sunday with Mama.

PeloAddict · 24/07/2022 15:27

He says he's very tired. I'm not quite sure why!
