@Supersimkin2 - try Prince with some raw meat. Leroy only eats cat food, unless it's raw meat in which case his arse is in the kitchen three times quicker than lightning. Mostly before I've even shut the fridge door.

Allergictoironing · 01/07/2022 10:56

HRH is not alone, mine eat very little human food. Tinned tuna, thinly sliced ham, maybe roast chicken on occasion, but apart from the tuna they only want a little then wander off - plus chicken or ham MUST be fed by hand, none of this eating from bowls rubbish for treat food!

Plus point - cat food tends to be cheaper than M&S deli (or even Asda deli), and you don't have to worry about them getting their taurine etc if it's complete cat food Grin

Same here. Even paws eats raw food now

Whiskas pack is £4.95 in Sainsbury’s.

I reckon Prince is better off with deli from M and S anyway - but he only eats cat food.

Bizarre. I’ll test him on some cod loin presently.

Oddball. Everyone knows human food is where it’s at.

YetAnotherSpartacus · 01/07/2022 13:47

Mine refuse all human food - cooked and raw and even roast chicken and fish (which only appear in the house when mp OH visits because I'm vegetarian). They won't eat cheese and they also refused a lick of cream.

Grumpyoldpersonwithcats · 01/07/2022 13:54

Basil and particularly Sybil are keener on human food than the 'kittens'.
Sybil loves porridge, breakfast cereal, avocado, marmite, cheese, ham, croissants... Actually, thinking about it, more or less anything 😁.
Having said that, all four go mad for roast chicken and roast lamb.

MsOllie · 01/07/2022 14:07

Paws loves ham, chicken, fish fingers and raw meat
Ollie - baked beans, pork scratchings, sour cream, cheese, milk, butter, ice cream, jacket potato, yoghurt, custard... he's basically a dustbin

Supersimkin2 · 01/07/2022 15:25

I tried Prince on this on Sun. Doggy bag - I took the pic to piss off DB cos he lives in a country with no pub lunch.

Against a soundtrack of resentful rage from DB, Prince sniffed it and sashayed off.

Nether Boone nor Eko have been introduced to the joys of human food. Although Boone was particular to a spot of salmon off a human’s plate when he was a baby. Eko liked to rip bags when he was little but now he’s a ‘big boy’ and as he is a 1/4 Bengal, he’s basically moved out for summer and is living his best life in the garden(s) he frequents. With the occasional trip home for sustenance and fusses ..

Fluffycloudland77 · 01/07/2022 17:51

You cant keep a good 1/4 Bengal down. Or up. Or any direction you want them in. You can only shriek “think of the vets bills”

LostCats · 01/07/2022 18:14

We have to take him for his ‘proof of life’ appointment next week apparently 😆 PAH want to see that the cat were getting worming and flea medication for, actually exists.
I have a feeling also to weigh him as he was 6.3kg last time. I’d say 90% muscle though. He’s absolutely massive

Fluffycloudland77 · 01/07/2022 18:25

Habeas Corpus, cattas style.

LostCats · 01/07/2022 19:42

😂😂😂yes!!!!

Fluffycloudland77 · 01/07/2022 20:15

Come for the cats, stay for the humour.

Papergirl1968 · 03/07/2022 11:54

I was reading on another thread about cats that wake their slaves at the ungodly hour of 4am. Thank goodness mine are happy to snooze till 10.30 on weekends and days off!

Fluffycloudland77 · 03/07/2022 13:50

Well that’s done it hasn’t it? Matt will have you pencilled in for 4am now.

MsOllie · 03/07/2022 13:55

I had a lie in and Ollie has been sick twice, in protest
He's now refusing to eat but I had cereal with milk which he tried to face plant in so he can't be that unwell

Papergirl1968 · 03/07/2022 15:46

I know, I've jinxed it now, Fluffy.
Matt loves me to leave him the last drop of milk from a bowl of cereal. Won't eat any remaining cornflakes though, MsOllie.

Grumpyoldpersonwithcats · 05/07/2022 19:23

Thought I'd share.

Defiantlynot41 · 05/07/2022 19:26

Thanks Grumpy ... the only sensible course of action

Supersimkin2 · 06/07/2022 01:51

I know one cat who’d defend Boris. He’s tried it on with Sybil now so often she’s drafting a strongly-worded letter to the PSC.

Grumpyoldpersonwithcats · 07/07/2022 13:02

FWK has just sent me some pics of Cedric and Doris.

I see your Cedric & Doris, and raise you a pic of Taliesin from my FWK.

Not a bad size for 4 months 😁

Taliesin looks a very big chap for 4 months. Is he actually a lion cub?

Fluffycloudland77 · 07/07/2022 15:28

Maybe he’s done all his growing now and won’t get any bigger? Because that’s a big cat otherwise.
