The fur was flying in our house late last night. I was going to sleep with Socks lying by me on the bed when Matt joined us and started licking Socks which I gather can be a show of dominance, and then started biting her. She ran off and he chased her. I told him off and brought her back to bed but it happened again. I nearly sent him downstairs to sleep with the dog (except he beats her up too) but after a period of time out on the windowsill he came on the bed and all was calm.
He tries to stop Socks coming until the house sometimes too by blocking her way or smacking her, and being a timid little thing she goes off.
I wish he wouldn't bully her like this. No wonder poor Socks spends most of her time outside.
I think Matt loved being an only pet but unfortunately Socks and the dog were dumped on me by dd who is not in a position to look after them.
I wonder if Feliway might help.

Poor socks. Could you fit a second cat flap? He can’t resource guard two at the same time.

This is my life now except that she gives as good as she gets even though she is half his size ... and usually at 2 am.

We don't have a cat flap at all, Fluffy. Just a back door which is opened and shut by their slave. ( Me).
It's funny the three of then interact. The dog regards Socks with nothing more than mild curiosity, but tries to play with Matt and gets sworn at and smacked for her trouble. The dog's a Staffie cross so much bigger and stronger, than Matt but Matt definitely rules the roost, maybe because he was here first. I do wish he wouldn't bully Socks though.

He's having a bad day. There were DOGS at the vet and the vet said Paws was handsome

Heart rate perfect, she said for his frame he should be heavier but given he's never been a heavy cat, that's probably just how he is and he's healthy enough

Socks is a skinny minnie too, while Matt is, er, sturdy!
Did you show a photo of Paws? He didn't go along for moral support, I take it?

Star, DD's cat is missing since Wednesday. She's disappeared into thin air. This has happened to us before with two other cats over the last seven years. We've never found a body.

I've done all the usual cat seeking tactics but she's doesn't like people and has never had a loud miaow. 😥

Oh no, the not knowing must be the worst. Don't give up hope. I hope she just strolls in.
Is she chipped?
You've tried putting litter tray outside, I guess? Local facebook sites round here seem to be successful in finding some cats. Leaflets through doors and posters on lamposts. Phone vets and rescue centres too.

I've informed my Local WhatsApp group. She doesn't use a litter tray. She is chipped too.

Hello Ladies and Gent

Captain died on Friday. On the way to give a pee sample at the vet, very quick.

His last day was sunbathing, menacing pigeons, smoked salmon and chicken in cream sauce. He had a good purr and a good sleep, three breakfasts and that was it for him. Here he is on last evening.

Oh bloody hell Super I'm so very very sorry 😢

He had a lovely life with you, you gave him your all and he loved it. You always said you wanted him to live out his days happily and full of love and that's what he had.

My heart goes out to you.
