So glad he's home, Fluffy. You'll get into the swing of it. Just make sure you look after yourself too.

Supersimkin2 · 18/05/2022 20:54

Superb news Fluffy but commiserations about the pipe work, must be both annoying and stressy.

And that’s without the sarky commentary. Is DH making himself useful with other helpful suggestions about the smooth running of the home?

Time for his nap, isn’t it.

Grumpyoldpersonwithcats · 18/05/2022 21:15

Is Cedric staying Cedric? - Oh yes 🙀😹

MrOllivander · 18/05/2022 22:26

Watchful face here (it's a moth he's spotted)
VET on Saturday for steroid jab, claw clip and to chat about his lack of weight

Gomez approves 👍

YesItsMeIDontCare · 19/05/2022 11:18

Well hello there!

Long time no see an' all that, hope everyone's well.

The mobile site is not fecking working. I was hoping it would fix itself but I've been without The Litter Tray for too long and have resorted to the app 😱

Leroy has a gacky eye and will not let me wipe it.

Fluffycloudland77 · 19/05/2022 12:18

He knows eye wiping is a murder attempt.

YesItsMeIDontCare · 19/05/2022 12:37

Well he certainly tried to murder me... 😁

Fluffycloudland77 · 19/05/2022 12:51

But that was self defence so it’s ok.

YetAnotherSpartacus · 19/05/2022 13:23

Fluffy the cat barrister...

How would you defend

  • fighting on the bed at night?
  • jumping on the kitchen counter despite repeatedly being told 'no'?
  • walking on the keyboard?
  • knocking my phone out of my hand when I'm on important calls?
I'm glad your DH is home and I do hope that he improves.💐
Fluffycloudland77 · 19/05/2022 16:09

The correct response to all of the above is a blank look to indicate you don’t understand English followed by walking off and giving the “fuck you mommy” flick of the tail.

Puddy doesn’t swear so she just walks off resolute in her knowledge that she’s right and we’re wrong,

nettie434 · 19/05/2022 18:38

This is via a Twitter account called the @ Thecatreviewer. (I had to put a space after the @ as MN thinks I am trying to tag an MN user, not reference a Twitter name.

Albert has read the sign saying that he shouldn't be fed and he is NOT pleased!

Very glad your DH is home fluffycloudland77. It sounds as if a lot is being expected of you though.

Albert does look bigger in the photo than he is now though.

Supersimkin2 · 19/05/2022 21:34

Capns at vet tomorrow in a third attempt to produce a pee sample. Ie pee in pot not in vet’s lap.

He’s had smoked Salmon pate so
he knows something’s up.

How is Puddy’s nursing training going?

Where is recent pic of Leroy?

Alwaystired99 · 19/05/2022 21:49

Why has my cat started decapitating pigeons? It's awful. He's always been a killer; birds, rodents and even rabbits but his latest thing is headless pigeons and it's disgusting. We tried a collar with a bell last year which stopped him for about a week but then he got 2 birds within 48 hours and then a few days later he came back home without the collar! I can't face another clean up operation, the mess is grim.

YesItsMeIDontCare · 19/05/2022 22:21

@Supersimkin2 - Leroy enjoying a bloody good roll a couple of days ago. With added blep.

Defiantlynot41 · 19/05/2022 23:55

Has your vet not given you the crystals @Supersimkin2 ? Much easier to get a pee sample, just pop them in the tray and wait for a pee, then suck it up in the supplied pipette ready for the vet. I think you can buy them in pets at home too?

Solidarity Fluffy, is the critique of your technique worse than the not speaking at all?

Waves to Yes and Nettie, this new version of MN is not nice

Supersimkin2 · 20/05/2022 08:11

I’m off to pets at home Now!! Thanks so much.

Leroy, fudgetastic magnificence. Terrible snuggly.

Grumpyoldpersonwithcats · 20/05/2022 08:34

Another two gratuitous Cedric and Doris pics for your delight and delectation. I think Doris is a star and I may have to steal her 😁

Fluffycloudland77 · 20/05/2022 09:12

TCN always says use an empty tray and they’ll go in there no bother.

Fluffycloudland77 · 20/05/2022 14:26

@Alwaystired99 Their ambush killers so a bells not much use if they’ve been sitting silently waiting before pouncing. By the time the birds heard the bell it’s too late. Catching things is very clever though.

Alwaystired99 · 20/05/2022 15:15

Yes, @Fluffycloudland77 that makes sense as he loves to sit and wait, he's got a lot of patience and a lot of deftness. He killed another pigeon in the middle of the night so that was a lovely present to come downstairs to. Maybe he'll grow out of it? Ha ha ha.

Defiantlynot41 · 20/05/2022 17:03

@Alwaystired99 can you keep him in at night? Or just dawn and dusk (the worst times)

Also, maybe you have young pigeons who are not streetwise yet ... sad fact of life but they will wise up if they survive

They most definitely are. A previous cat of mine lost a lot of use of his back legs in a car accident. No critter was safe when he was out.

He could still climb trees as well 😱

Alwaystired99 · 20/05/2022 18:35

He's got a flap and no tray so wouldn't like being kept in at night to put it mildly. He was a rescue kitten who probably came from the country and he just loves the thrill of killing and is very good at it. Pigeons aren't as bad as baby birds or baby rabbits but the mess is disgusting, he even had feathers in his food bowl earlier, they usually get stuck in his whiskers after a kill!
Climbing trees with dodgy back legs is feet impressive!
