He had a head rub and trotted off to my bed. Again

Supersimkin2 · 14/12/2021 21:39

Sleep well small traveller, safe in the arms of your own Ollie and Mama.

NMC2022 · 14/12/2021 21:42

Ollie took one look and vanished out the window. Apparently he's antisocial like his mama

SpookyScarySkeletons · 14/12/2021 22:08

Paws is so handsome 🥰🥰

coastergirl · 14/12/2021 22:47

Oh I love that photo of Paws. I just want the three of you to be a happy family.

Walter has taken to yelling. All the time.

He must be copying ollie. Me and paws were having a peaceful slumber when we both were rudely woken by Ollie demonstrating his singing Paws is back asleep, I've prodded him and no sign of fleas now
Papergirl1968 · 14/12/2021 23:31

I love that Paws seems to be spending more and more of his time at NMC's. Smile

NMC2022 · 14/12/2021 23:41

He accepts head rubs without flinching now too, just put a FB video up

Supersimkin2 · 15/12/2021 09:18

Head rubs, he’ll be addicted soon.

Had Capn on all last night, holding paws. He’s sashayed off now for a fight with GAWbastard.

AlfonsoTheUnrepentant · 15/12/2021 10:00

Awww, how lovely about Paws. He is learning what it means to be loved.

Cap'n, don't bite off more than you can chew!

Papergirl1968 · 15/12/2021 11:05

That video makes me melt! 😍

Grumpyoldpersonwithcats · 16/12/2021 15:25

Going back to an early part of this thread...

Mrs Grumpy and I had our boosters this morning. I'm really a bit shit with needles so I always ask the person doing the job just to chat randomly to me (as I resolutely look in the other direction) and then just let me know when the job is done.
The nurse today clearly had a different plan. Half way through the chat she announced 'needle going in now'. It was so inappropriate, I laughed - so her bedside manner worked Grin.

Fluffycloudland77 · 16/12/2021 15:45

Mrs Grumpy, as always, stoical.

Dcats basket matches the carpet! @ItsSnowJokes!

Puddy now only eats if we put the plate on the bed in the spare room. Dh not happy. No fucks are given though. She knows she can hold out longer than we can.

Supersimkin2 · 16/12/2021 16:26

Well done on escaping that terrible freak Ratched @Grumpyoldpersonwithcats.

I had booster and only felt like death for 2 days, which is Not Bad Considering. Mrs Grumpy and you need soup and a film.

Allergictoironing · 16/12/2021 17:27

I was sooo lucky having no side effects from my booster!

A day that started out as a nightmare has finally finished OK. We are now having to do door knocks for test & trace, the people they couldn't get on the phone, and muggins here offered to do the coordination for the team.

Extra time yesterday evening listing them all, sorting out locations, then this morning allocating them to the people who were in based on their other duties today. Good thing the old fogey here decided to keep it on paper rather than a spreadsheet, as my PC was dead when I got up.

However - PC has been returned (hardware problem) fixed by my lovely local computer guys. Despite multiple failed attempt by track & trace to talk to people, I somehow managed to talk to all 9 on my list & get their responses. Only a few for the others to complete tomorrow now (my day off).

Now have to placate cats, who are very unimpressed that I was home all day but NOT spending all my time paying them attention!

Fluffycloudland77 · 16/12/2021 18:33

I always hope for a few days looking wan, bravely forcing down stem ginger biscuits dipped in dark chocolate & drinking tea but it is not to be.

When Asbo was ill at his first booster when he was around 18 months old dh called in sick to stay with him all day while I went to work.

NMC2022 · 16/12/2021 20:04

Sainsburys delivery arrived. Ollie unusually pranced out and demanded pets from the driver
Driver "I have two cats"
Oh, that's why Grin

He's been sick 4 times today so there has been lots of sprinting across the room to shove kitchen roll under him

Defiantly41 · 16/12/2021 22:14

Sympathy NMC , I have a sticky one too, I'm never quite quick enough with the loo roll either.

Tomorrow m going to attempt claw clipping. Pray for me ?

Defiantly41 · 16/12/2021 22:15

Urgh, sicky not sticky. Bloody autocorrect

Fluffycloudland77 · 17/12/2021 07:53

We need to do Puddys claws too so I’m going to put a calming drop on first.

Last night I gave her dreamies but it’s not the same as dad dreamies so she sat staring at him until he stomped in to get the dreamie bag out of my bedside drawer.

YetAnotherSpartacus · 17/12/2021 11:10

If things work out I might be able to play properly soon :).

I am so excited!

What are these calming drops? Little Betsy is always on edge and I've been looking into ways to maybe calm her.
Supersimkin2 · 17/12/2021 12:24

Eh? Spart?! Yay! Details please...

YetAnotherSpartacus · 17/12/2021 12:47

I don't want to jinx anything ... but I am VERY excited :)

Grumpyoldpersonwithcats · 17/12/2021 12:53

@YetAnotherSpartacus

Good luck - hope it all goes as planned.👍
