I can just imagine Sybil hiding her Preciouses.

TC, on the other hand, would take great delight in trying to knock the tree over and biting anyone who dared to try to stop him.

Grumpyoldpersonwithcats · 13/12/2021 11:11

Actually Sybil is more immediately concerned with me telling her she can't have the last piece of toast.

How rude of you! 😲
YetAnotherSpartacus · 13/12/2021 11:27

How can you resist? That face! :)

That is the face of hunger and deprivation.

Generally I can't Grin

No way could I resist that fluffy little face!!
Allergictoironing · 13/12/2021 15:51

But. But. But. It's SYBIL. Surely you can't begrudge toast to such a magnificent cat who is also ruler of the household!

Supersimkin2 · 13/12/2021 16:11

Sybil, so good and beautiful - she might like Marmite on it, Grumpy.

Supersimkin2 · 13/12/2021 16:20

Has everyone had their boosters? NMC are you done or did you fall into the gap like me?

After being told to get it aaages ago and being thrown out twice by the clinic when I rolled up, got called into GP Sat. Most efficient.

As I was weaving to the bog to throw up on Sun, Ginger-and-white-bastard broke in and pissed on the sofa.

He and Capn had a lively discussion - Capn won! The yowling woke up 200 people on Sun am.

GAWB is a very dear looking huge unspayed Tom with large soulful eyes - but Capn’s entitled to his own space. An English cat’s home is his castle IMO.

Supersimkin2 · 13/12/2021 16:22

Almost wish I did have covid cos wouldn’t notice the pungent whiff.

NMC2022 · 13/12/2021 16:39

I fall into the special 3rd primary vaccine! Which I have had Smile so next one will be a booster

SpookyScarySkeletons · 13/12/2021 17:04

I've had to wait @Supersimkin2 as I had covid recently x booked for first week in January as that was earliest we could get. Hoping my natural antibodies will keep me safe before then!!

Supersimkin2 · 13/12/2021 17:04

You go grrrrrl! Must be a big relief.

Can’t decide what to get Capn for his Xmas dinner. He’ll have the same as the rest of us ie M and S stuffed Turkey crown, lashings of gravy and a spud he can play with but someone’s carer is coming so to keep up appearances I ought to buy some cat food.

Fluffycloudland77 · 13/12/2021 17:36

We’ve both had ours in sept/oct. Pfizer have a new drug for the CEV that delivers antibodies. I’m waiting for NICE to approve it then we’ll ask for dh to have it. A million doses have been ordered for CEV people.

Awful behaviour, breaking into another cats house. I’d never condone such flagrant disregard for property rights.

Grumpyoldpersonwithcats · 13/12/2021 17:37

Mrs Grumpy and I have our boosters this Thursday.

I daren't mention the 'm' word in front of Sybil. She gets VERY overexcited when marmite is available Grin

Supersimkin2 · 13/12/2021 18:47

I keep flipping in and out of CEV which is silly cos I'm tough as old boots. More to the point, moany hypochondriac with it, which I always think is the infallible marker for getting a telegram from the Queen.

My mate on the transplant list had Covid - two days of snot and fever before he demanded a second breakfast served in the garden. We were fucking terrified, needless to say, and his poor wife's barely recovered from the stress. She had it worse, at the same time, naturally, full on flu for a week. Honestly, Fluffy, at this point I think the stress is worse than the disease. Especially as the vaccine is so good.

Asbo would never have attempted to breach another's property. Never.

Fluffycloudland77 · 13/12/2021 19:16

He wouldn’t. No ndn of mine ever had to upgrade to a magnetic cat flap.

My hairs only just growing back from the cancelled op. I look like I’ve had post partum hair loss.

Allergictoironing · 13/12/2021 20:06

Had my booster about 4 weeks ago.

Tip for those who are using the web site to book an appointment. If you search on appointments near you, and get offered something miles or weeks away, try searching on drop in centres. Some of them offer appointments too, but they are only listed as drop ins & don't show on the other list.

If you book using 119 you have to tell the call handler this too, as they don't know it.

I think it's a "thing" with GAWTs. I had one here that tried to bulldoze his way through the cat net I had on the french doors, and got tangled up in it. The next year I replaced the net with 5ft high chicken wire, so he jumped over that. I now employ both at the same time if I want the french doors open in summer!

Supersimkin2 · 13/12/2021 21:22

Most handy Allergic. Worth knowing eh.

GAWB too much for Capn’s nerves, sure Girlcat feels the sane.

What op Fluffy? Hope only a small one. Tonight’s top post on next door is a pic of a Bengal under the title WARNING CAT BERGLER

coastergirl · 13/12/2021 21:37

Every time I see a photo of Sybil I'm just blown away by how beautiful she is!

Had my booster weeks ago. Front line in a specialist school so I've been lucky with jabs.

Fluffycloudland77 · 13/12/2021 21:57

It was a cancelled op. Anaesthetist said nope not doing it.

Bengals get a very bad press.

The Christmas tree is up, so far Puddy doesn’t seem interested in balls. She runs after them but doesn’t know what to do with them.

TheLongRider · 13/12/2021 22:20

Nemo has turned into an old fogey and Hobbes is disgusted. We've decorated the tree and Nemo woke up after we'd finished. Hobbes marched him over to the tree and indicated that it would be great fun to bat down the baubles and chase each other into the branches. Nemo gave the tree a sniff, yawned and promptly went back to sleep in his box! Hobbes is miffed.

The tree is in perfect order, not so much as a bauble out of place.

SpookyScarySkeletons · 13/12/2021 22:53

Having a full on battle with Ivy over the baytril. The only way to get it down her is to pin her down. (I'm a wheelchair user so this is more difficult than expected). She will not tolerate it in any food, I've tried lik-E-lox, fresh and tinned tuna, salmon, cheese spread.... I managed to syringe two doses into her mouth but have 2 huge deep scratches across my stomach that I'm a little worried about as I'm diabetic and don't heal as quickly.

Any ideas? I think I may need to ask the vets for another course as so many doses are going wasted!!
