@Papergirl1968

Cats eh? They do choose their vomiting moments - and places - for maximum inconvenience. Good luck, NotMyCat! How long has it been?
I went in last month for a few hours but haven't done a full day since March 2020
Papergirl1968 · 29/11/2021 22:08

Wow, huge adjustment then. For you and the cats!

Fluffycloudland77 · 30/11/2021 08:42

I hope today goes ok @NotMyCat.

Fluffycloudland77 · 30/11/2021 08:51

Had to get poo off Puddy’s knickerbockers last night. She’s still not talking to me.

She’s in with dh because he’s not evil like me.

SpookyScarySkeletons · 30/11/2021 08:55

How is Ollie feeling today @NotMyCat?

Ivy is on her way back to the vets now :(

sashh · 30/11/2021 09:01

Mine keeping warm because I am an ebil human and won't have the house at 35 C for her

Ollie seems absolutely fine. Lots of following me round and yelling Grin

YetAnotherSpartacus · 30/11/2021 09:17

All the best to Ivy and to NMC on your return to work! Glad that Ollie is better! Do you think he just secretly likes the vet?

SpookyScarySkeletons · 30/11/2021 10:04

So annoying. Totally wasted visit! No room at the hospital to have anything done today so have to go back again tomorrow.

YetAnotherSpartacus · 30/11/2021 10:06

I'm so sorry. That must be so frustrating especially given the extra effort you have to make to get there Flowers

Fluffycloudland77 · 30/11/2021 12:27

Are there other vets in the locality you’d consider using? I’d be pissed at a missed infection in a cat.

Asbo had blocked glands once and so did my childhood tortie. Injury and infection should be the first two options for a diagnosis of pain in an animal.

Supersimkin2 · 30/11/2021 14:05

Bah, better luck tomorrow Sparkly.

@sashh that is a deeply restful heated mattress.

Capn's out giving the magpie evils cos he ate Aldi dreamies by mistake. Someone Will Pay.

Just taken this photo of Walter doing his best Ollie impression.

Ollie approves. He's currently glued to my lap. I expected a warm welcome and got a sleepy grouchy cat, annoyed I had disturbed his 9hr nap

coastergirl · 30/11/2021 23:12

I could do with a 9 hour nap

NotMyCat · 30/11/2021 23:16

Me too. Paws managed 10hrs the other night snoring away at my feet. He was even dreaming bless him

coastergirl · 30/11/2021 23:39

Awww bless Paws.

I definitely think Walter has been chatting to Ollie. He's woken up and is yelling at me and head butting my shoulder.

Supersimkin2 · 01/12/2021 10:43

Paws loves you so much Queen.

He has met his real Mum.

AlfonsoTheUnrepentant · 01/12/2021 10:54

I am glad that someone cares for Paws as it sounds like his other humans don't.

NotMyCat · 01/12/2021 10:56

Haven't seen him for a couple of days so I suspect he's spacing out his human contact Grin
Ollie was sick again last night Hmm I've booked him for his follow up and steroid jab next week with his usual vet

SpookyScarySkeletons · 01/12/2021 11:01

Anxiously awaiting Ivy news. She went in this morning and they are doing GA instead of sedation. I just want my baby home!

Grumpyoldpersonwithcats · 01/12/2021 11:31

Keeping fingers/paws crossed for Ivy Flowers

AlfonsoTheUnrepentant · 01/12/2021 12:03

Come home soon, Ivy!

SpookyScarySkeletons · 01/12/2021 12:55

She is coming round from the anaesthetic now. They have flushed her anal glands and taken samples for culture and sensitivity test to identify bacteria and which antibiotic is best to treat it.

The vet was suspicious that it may be a food allergy that's caused it?? Apparent most cats with food allergies start at around Ivy's age (news to me) so slow switch to a hypoallergenic food is recommended too.

My lovely neighbour (who is also a crazy cat lady) is going to pick her up for me. Lots of gentle snuggles required for my baby girl this afternoon!

SpookyScarySkeletons · 01/12/2021 19:42

She's home. A bit groggy and still licking like crazy. Can see I will be getting plenty of cat cuddles tonight!
