My gorgeous girl gave birth on DDs bed whilst we were out today. 7 little squeakers all feeding. She’s happy feeding purring away!

I wish I could post videos! They’re all purring and squeaking away, mum included.

Baby animals smell delicious, dont they. Just like candy floss. Grin

Madcats · 30/07/2021 08:21

I'm late arriving on this thread; aren't they cute.

Your house is going to be madness in a couple of weeks time.

We ended up with an unplanned litter (hosted a relative's cat when they were doing a big house move). The number of times I'd come home to find a kitten half way up our (cheap) curtains!

Box up anything you don't want damaged and enjoy the next month.

MrsA2015 · 30/07/2021 09:00

Kissed them not missed! Although that’ll come I’m sure Sad @Madcats I was in the middle of baby proofing as it is! My curtains are already showing the signs of when mum was a kitten last year when we got her, I never got round to replacing the voiles either so they can stay up and be shredded. I’ve got a massive cat tree so will hopefully relocate that into a big play pen we have and keep them off my fabric sofa. I’m more worried about coming home and finding steaming parcels in places I can’t get to looking at you mousey Envy

The idea of a giant cat tree one day swarming with kittens is making me v happy right now.

Your photo updates are beautiful - best ever thank you x

I love the little toothless mouths, and yet they already have teeny tiny claws. Are kitten claws retractable, or do they come later?

iamreally · 30/07/2021 21:47

OOOOOOOOOHHHH thay are so gorgeous! We had bit of bengal brothers and they were fabulous - I even had a song that I used to sing to them about their names and personalities. Unfortunately they both got run over (lived on a busy main road) so we bit the bullet and bough the most expensive cat that has ever existed.
He's a black moggie but cost us the best part of £250,000 12 years ago. He has been worth every penny.

(had to buy a house off the main road for a cat to live in before we got him)

Wee cuties!

MrsA2015 · 15/08/2021 09:23

It’s been busy here at meow manor, mousey (mum) went off her food suddenly and lost weight fast, she’s ok now with top ups of meat and fish. All kittens doing well.

They’re still on dds bed as mum won’t let me relocate them! I’ve got a pet run to hopefully move them soon and set up for weaning cries at the thought. They really are the sweetest little things. Rehoming Is being sorted and we’re trying to get a few to go in pairs . Apologies for not replying to all the PMs fast enough I’ll try to ASAP. I forget to check for messages.

Are you keeping the 7th one?

thecatneuterer · 15/08/2021 23:28

@Fluffycloudland77

Her breeder should have neutered her for you if she wasn’t sold as a queen. I don’t think CH will have too much trouble shifting part Bengal kittens though and they’ll get a donation fee for them.
Bengals are incredibly hard to home - much harder than moggies - probably because they are not 'easy' cats to live with. I don't know about bengal crosses though. The donation fee doesn't even begin to cover the cost to the charity. For starters any kitten homed will have been neutered/vaccinated/chipped and had flea and worm treatments. Then there is the admin time of the homing team and often they have to stay in the centre for some time before homing. We estimate that the real cost to the charity of each cat homed is around £200. The homing donation fee is only £65.
