My gorgeous girl gave birth on DDs bed whilst we were out today. 7 little squeakers all feeding. She’s happy feeding purring away!

I would absolutely love one for these but my 'D'H says no to cats 😭😭😭😭they are absolutely perfect 😍

Fluffycloudland77 · 24/07/2021 12:57

Husbands really you back at times like this.

I was telling dh about a stray kitten I nearly bought home once, he did comment I hadn’t phoned him to check it was ok but I said it wasn’t that kind of marriage.

MrsA2015 · 24/07/2021 13:59

Oooh, little tiny toe-beans!

ShadowInVain · 24/07/2021 16:35

This thread is making me kitten-broody. It's over 20 years since I've had a kitten - my current cats were adult rescues - and doubtless the memory of the hard work has faded (though I do remember my living-room curtains were a write-off by the time they'd grown out of climbing them).

FelicityBeedle · 24/07/2021 20:32

I didn’t know their eyes opened so early, they are beautiful

MrsA2015 · 24/07/2021 23:57

Pen for scale! They seem to be growing really fast now

Oh my god! I can't believe how tiny they are.
KarlMaldensNose · 25/07/2021 15:12

The pen for scale makes you realise just how tiny, they are absolutely gorgeous, I love the one with the pink belly ❤️

Christmasfairy2020 · 25/07/2021 19:00

So cute. Where in UK are you I have a family member wanting an indoor cat 🐈 x

TheBalletCats · 26/07/2021 13:40

@MrsA2015
Thank you Flowers
The LTNs = disastrously implemented ditto a lot of road changes - quite what they thought they were about around Lewisham Station I don’t know, but it’s ridiculous. Ditto, indeed, the development there that looks as if some of the Docklands’ financial district had a bit of a heavy sesh up in town, fell asleep on the DLR home, staggered out at the terminus, shrugged, & stayed. The plans for the Leegate Centre are pretty wretched - it does desperately need redeveloping after its gradual-protracted decline (Sainsbury’s started it, of course, the grocer/butcher/baker/fishmonger et al had no hope against such a behemoth, having held their own against KwikSave… I was an actual baby when Sainsbury’s was built, but remember going to the wee shops with mummy - in my pushchair! - to get the messages; & the excitement of free fruit (never guaranteed, but fairly common due to my being preternaturally well-behaved)…
I do realise my Potential Usefulness is limited, but I can be useful for knowing things like commuter boats are much more interesting for wee folk than tour ones; much cheaper; & you can plan a useful trip on them/if you walk under the Thames South to North at Greenwich you can just cross the park to get to Mudchute City Farm (which is free)/just along the DLR from the there is Museum of London Docklands which is also free + VERY child-friendly… (though ofc covid means checking All The Things)

Your kittens (er, your cat’s kittens) are so cute! They grow so quickly, don’t they?! I do not want kittens. No. The way they sleep in a pile is just so adorable. My two still sleep all tangled together & will sleep on top of me/wrapped round one of my limbs, either singly or the pair of them building up a snuggle bundle. (Particularly appreciated in the heat, obviously…) They just never stopped doing it from kittenhood. Are you thinking to try to home in pairs, or are you not thinking that far ahead at all? (Which would be completely understandable!)

Hope you’re doing ok juggling needs of mummy cat & kittens & your own human family & - v importantly - your own self. That last one is vvv important & so very likely to be neglected.

Hectic few days here with both dds unwell! A bed of kittens has been soothing my nerves though.

Don't suppose you're anywhere near the south west because I will snap up one of these darlings in a heartbeat 🥺

AlfonsoTheMango · 27/07/2021 16:44

I love this thread. Please keep the photos coming, OP, and I hope your daughters soon feel better.

TheBalletCats · 27/07/2021 18:27

Hope your DDs feel better soon (Cake feels more appropriate than Flowers for wee folk, really) & that you’ve not too much of a time minding them AND the moglings. Long may kitten therapy work!

MrsA2015 · 27/07/2021 22:37

I’m ok hanging in there! Now fretting because mum cat wants to go in the garden, she did a couple of times for the loo but always came straight back indoors. Today she stayed out for a while and I’m worrying. She has her indoor litter tray but she’s pawing at the back door! The vets said she won’t be ready for the op till kittens are weaned which is ages yet! It’s going to be a long 3 months cries

On a more positive note thank you to everyone for your lovey messages!
@TheBalletCats I could read your writing all day I love your wording! I definitely am trying to look after myself a bit more whilst the dds are sickly otherwise I’d be useless, it’s been a Netflix and nose wiping day today. “Moglings” will be a new word in my vocabulary Grin

Moglings.....Okay my cute aggression levels have just gone absolutely crazyGrin

Fluffycloudland77 · 28/07/2021 07:04

I wouldn’t let mum out, she can get pg again because they ovulate after sex. If she wants to go out that’s just tough, she’s a mother now.

I want to live on Sancerre & halva but it’s not going to happen.

AlfonsoTheMango · 28/07/2021 10:02

Can you put a harness on her, OP, and let her into the garden in that way?

MrsA2015 · 28/07/2021 10:47

Yes she definitely going back on the harness. I’ll need to dig it out the shed aka spider den , booking her in for the earliest advised date for the op. My poor girl Sad

@Fluffycloudland77 this really made me laugh.

TheBalletCats · 28/07/2021 15:36

Thank you for being so sweet about babblings MrsA2015 Grin

Am glad you’re managing to remember to look after yourself as well as the small humans & family feline: hope that the Netflix choices weren’t too mind-numbing; & paws will be kept crossed here that the chance to practice nose wiping & blowing will help your girls hone those skills: teaching a 7yo I was minding how to blow her nose at ungodly o’clock in the morning was, well… I’d’ve appreciated not needing to be the one to impart said life skill! (Of course, if you can train The Mog Squad to assist - even if it’s just to fetch tissues as required - your fortune will be made…)

Good luck rescuing mummy cat’s harness from the accidental spider sanctuary. And indeed getting her to see that she can no longer go gadding about in a devil-may-care fashion, she has Responsibilities - a whole litter of them - to prioritise.
