My gorgeous girl gave birth on DDs bed whilst we were out today. 7 little squeakers all feeding. She’s happy feeding purring away!

Oh they’re beautiful, what a good mama. Are you keeping one? You know you want to…

I think I know which one she’s keeping Grin
MrsA2015 · 19/07/2021 13:04

I’d love to keep one I just don’t think it would be financially wise Sad @ShowOfHands thankfully not! I always have a mattress protector on, I’ve washed the duvet it’s drying in the sun, can’t get the other stuff off from under them just yet she gets distressed !

Will you be rehoming them via the charity?

Ellmau · 19/07/2021 13:20

I’m sure they’ll have no trouble finding loving homes.

MrsA2015 · 19/07/2021 13:34

@SupermanWithTheGreyHair yes that’s the plan

Katefoster · 19/07/2021 13:46

Omg they're stunning!!!

SupermanWithTheGreyHair · 19/07/2021 14:06

Do you know if they have a waiting list lined up for them? I presume they probably have but do you think its worth calling them? Not for me. Although I’m sure my dogs would love them. 😬

MrsA2015 · 19/07/2021 14:09

@SupermanWithTheGreyHair not quite sure what to say to the dogs bit Confused yes there’s a waiting list. They’re having an influx at the moment of lockdown kittens

Sorry, I meant it nicely about my dogs. We had a cat until last year and they all got on really well. The dogs just licked him at every chance they got so they would love a kitten to ‘mother’. My friend left her details with a few places last year including Celia Hammond but hasn’t had any luck so far even though she’s willing to have an older cat or kitten. I’ve sent her a link to the thread so she’s going to give them a call. They’re beautiful. 😍

Heartofglass12345 · 19/07/2021 15:34

Awwwww Grin we took in a stray who had kittens, oh they were so lush. She always had a thing for my husband though and even when the kittens were feeding if he came in the room she would get up and go over to him and the poor things would drop off her nipples lol. She was such a good mum though. I would have them all if I could lol

MrsA2015 · 19/07/2021 16:14

@SupermanWithTheGreyHair that makes sense! I did half imagine something along
Those lines 😁I do know that they’re currently looking as local possible perhaps that’s why she’s not heard anything? Could also try Mayhew. Some don’t go into the system straight away I’ve been told. My mums cat was from battersea and she never made it onto the website although she had been there a while (FIV+)

@Heartofglass12345 my girl does the same! I’ll walk in and she stands up and they all drop off like apples poor things.

They all look comfy.

FelicityBeedle · 20/07/2021 21:07

If you don’t keep teddy I’m going to petition to have you banned from mumsnet as a cat tease

TheBalletCats · 21/07/2021 17:15

@SupermanWithTheGreyHair
Clearly not wishing to out OP, but as CHAT operate in 3 locations (2 centres in London & then the Sussex sanctuary) your friend may find ringing to enquire brings nothing but utter confusion.

They’re adorable @MrsA2015 - I hope you get to enjoy them for a wee while & that it’s not too stressful with your own baby to mind as well as the 7 your cat’s thoughtfully-helpfully added to the mix. Excellent you’ve got CHAT for support: if it’s the Lewisham branch I’m not surprised to hear you’d 2 cancelled appointments - as in given assorted Local Stuff + Gossip about various vets, in case that reads to anyone as my in any way blaming CHAT!

MartyHart · 21/07/2021 17:34

Omg congratulations FlowersStar

Maggiesfarm · 21/07/2021 18:57

Aw lovely.

We had a little cat who had kittens twenty years ago, three girls. They were gorgeous. It was lovely watching them grow up under the care of their mother and they were such fun. We kept them.

Seven though, that's a lot. Enjoy them while you can.

MrsA2015 · 21/07/2021 23:25

@TheBalletCats all I can say is yes ive had various issues with Lewisham Envy

@FelicityBeedle Grin that made me laugh.

@Fluffycloudland77 The cat isn’t a Bengal. Tabby is a pattern not a breed. Bengals happen to have tabby pattern. That doesn’t make all tabby cats Bengals.

TheBalletCats · 21/07/2021 23:58

@MrsA2015
I’m so sorry but I just giggled & got a look of Sleepy Confusion from cat who’s splooted out in here with me - that’s probably the most polite criticism of this Borough ever, let’s face it Grin (I grew up here & went to secondary school out towards Kent - lots of my friends weren’t allowed to come to my house & of the few that were, most were dropped to the door & we weren’t to Go Anywhere until their parents collected them. And I live in a nice bit of Lewisham. Mind you, at university I’d more than one person literally clutch their pearls on discovering where I was from, so I suppose that was good training?)
Am glad you’ve CHAT to help support you now anyway; & hope that things are as low-stress & high-joy/cute/GoodThings as is possible.

MrsA2015 · 22/07/2021 00:15

@Madwife123 she’s mostly Bengal we’ve had her checked and she has her paperwork, 😁 albeit not 100% , as long as dh isn’t on the brink of death around her I wouldn’t have minded her being a moggy.

@TheBalletCats oh that’s as polite as I’ll get, I kid you not when I say I curse living here almost daily. Multiple times. There are naice bits I suppose but step out of it and youre really in the crap Sad
