He's home thank god. Full blown cat flu and because he's had chronic rhinitis since getting cat flu as a kitten, his immune system is about as effective as mine. He doesn't want to eat but is still drinking, which is the only thing that allowed him home instead of IV fluids at the vets. It's going to be a wobbly few weeks. He looks and sounds dreadful

To celebrate the weekend Puddy has bitten the scab off her leg

Aw bless him Just. The bigger and more macho they are, the more pathetic they look when ill. Is there anything they you could put in his water that he would tolerate, to try to get some nutrition into him?

Hoping Charlie gets better soon, we took in a stray that had cat flu and they never quite shake it off do they ?

The dog has started eating the cat food, wet and dry. Matt has retaliated by eating the dog’s dry food. I’m now waiting for Matt to start barking and the dog to meow!

@Justonedayatatime11 am I right thinking he is raw fed? Wondering if he might eat something like double minced Purrform as it's so finely minced, if you mix it with a bit of warm water it's practically soup
I have a raw topper which is freeze dried chicken powder and nutritional yeast which is the stuff paws is going mad for

We've had our own vet visit this morning, but just the annual boosters, check over, wormer (Have you seen that tablet? I'm not doing it!), and some more Stronghold. £86. And he's so ungrateful!

Apparently he's in bloody good nick though, except for his weight which is borderline. Needs a bit more activity and a bit less food but not specifically "a diet". Yet.

You can't win! I guarantee that as soon as you threaten to put them in the bin he'll love them.

Thanks for all the Charlie love. He's so poorly.
In other news, Maple is a happy little cat

Maple seems happier already, Just. Poor Charlie. My friends' cat got cat flu (a few days before his vaccine was due). Like Charlie, his eyes and nose were really affected. He has recovered (although putting the eye drops in was a two person job). Hopefully, it won't be long before Charlie is back to his magnificent self.

Poor Charlie. Hope things improve for him soon.
